This is certainly a rugged and thick silicon skin for the Emberton III. You do have to remove your existing cover before installing this one. I must say that I did not know you could remove the factory cover before receiving this review test sample. It actually is easy to perform. Just watch the stock video and that is pretty much how it goes. I don't think it is as nice looking as the OEM, but it does add the loops for the strap. I do like being able to attach a strap. The Emberton III does have a corner pocket that allows you to install a lanyard, but no provision for a strap. So this adds that feature. It also adds feet to it which raise it about 1/4". I don't find that to be a feature I care much about. I am a little torn between keeping it on or going back to OEM. I would say that if you really carry yours around a lot and feel a strap is a great idea, then I would recommend it. Just be sure to get another strap to use as the one that is included is not very good. It is more of a ribbon with ends that it is a good quality strap. But you will have the attachment points to be able to use one. The cover itself is thick and rugged. The USB port cover door however is flimsy and doesn't want to stay closed. I ended up tearing it off the cover and it was easy to do. Overall there is some room for improvements, but it is not a bad value. 4 stars seems right.
