Was able to find the identical glide door closer currently on my front storm door. The old one eventually broke, but finding the exact same closer made replacement a snap. Had the new replacement on in a snap requiring no additional drilling. Was a very easy and effective fix!

I can't really speak to the quality of this item as I immediately returned it upon receipt. The size set out in the description is inaccurate. I purchased this in reliance on the representation that it was a certain length, but it turned out to be almost a third shorter -- totally useless for me. This is the second door closer I have purchased and returned from Amazon; the description on the first was equally inaccurate.

Cheap product. Terrible seller. Don't purchase. Installed and tried to open door 8 times and plastic jamb bracket broke. Sent message to seller and NO response. Seller cares less. Beware! Out of pocket £25.

The hollow-core door between my kitchen and garage keeps getting left open, so I decided to get the Ultra Hardware 16200 EZ Glide Door Closer. This is a great value for lightweight doors.I installed the EZ Glide using a 1/8th inch drill bit, Sharpie and Phillips screwdriver in about 15 minutes. The instructional photos included in the package were too dark to make out, but I found some You Tube videos for this model that made the assembly easy.You can install this door closer on the top, middle or bottom of the door; I chose a top mount. The door now closes smoothly without slamming. Speed adjustment is a snap with the little knurled wheel. But the coolest feature is the latch that locks the door open; simply nudging the door releases the latch. This bonus feature lets me bring groceries in from the garage without fighting the door.My single complaint is that the door closer only allows a 90 degree opening. But the hinge pin easily removes to allow a fully open door, so this isn't a big deal.At the price, the Ultra Hardware 16200 EZ Glide Door Closer is a solid five stars.

My old closers from Home Depot would move so fast up until 4 inches from being closed, then stop short, bounce out a bit and then take forever to finish closing. You had to jump out of the way to keep from getting hit in the ass with the door.These have so much less pressure when you open them wide and then they ease back all the way to a nice gentle but sure close. No need to run from your door!!!UPDATE 10/25/19Of the 2 I bought 11 months ago 1 of them started sticking and finally locked halfway open. The other is still working perfectly. I ordered a replacement on Saturday which arrived on Wednesday and was installed immediately.

Why didn't all screen door owners get an email when this closer was put in the marketplace? Love this door closer. I can take the dog out, touch the hold button with a toe and the door magically stays ajar. When you want the door to close, give it a slight push and the door closes.. Simple to use and installation was rather easy also. I was only replacing a broken door closer, so the holes were already there and I didn't need to drill any new ones to make this fit. A quick turn of the adjustment knob and the door closes at the speed I like. I would recommend this to anyone with a screen door that needs a door closer.

Really useful--push the button to hold the door open, bump the door and it closes. Do observe the instructions to be sure that it's positioned properly--one end the right distance from the door, the other extended right distance. If there's little space between the main door and screen door, this won't be right for you. For three of my four installations, i was able to use the existing mounting points, so try that first.How much do I like it? An hour after I installed one, I bought enough for my other door and my friend's door. Then I bought another, which I take with me when traveling to friends or family in case they'd like to try it.

These are great door closers. The open and close work smoothly with no 'bouncing', and the speed of the close offers a wide range of adjustment. The push-to-hold is a great feature and works well. Push lever for hold, open door to desired position, and door will stay. Push door open past hold position, and door hold will release. I have only 2 negative comments: 1) the door mounting brackets are made of plastic. My old ones are metal and the holes line-up perfectly, so I just re-used those. The mounting hardware is not the right place to cut manufacturing costs. 2) Although it's depicted correctly in the picture (which I missed), NO WHERE does it say that the package contains 1 closer with the hold feature and 1 without. If you need 2 closers with the hold, buy 2 singles instead of the 2 pack. I may need to buy another one down the road if I find that I miss having it on one of my doors.
