My wife has some hand dexterity issues, so we’re always looking for devices to make life easier. Our old manual can opener was an example-too much gripping and twisting. This was the answer-you set it on top of the can, hit the button, and it does the rest. A wonderfully designed device!

My husband asked for an electric can opener because the manual one was getting harder and harder to operate. After doing some research, I selected this one. We have 12 dogs and have quite a few cans to open on a regular basis. He kept raving about how well this opener works-he rarely remarks on products.. So I asked him to write a review for me to submit."Performs flawlessly every time you use it, and it's not a cash rip-off. This automatic can opener is portable and is rechargeable via supplied USB cable. I've only charged it once, ( the initial charge ), and so far, I've opened somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 - 25 cans. No recharging required so far. The fit, finish, and operation of this can opener is impeccable. You simply place it on top of any can, and it's off to the races. Your cans are cut safely, and they will not cut you once opened. You can re-use your cans by taking advantage of your neatly cut can tops. So, this can opener can be used by everyone, ( children, elderly, people with physical hardships, Alzheimer's patients ). Completely saves those with arthritis the pain of manually opening cans."

This is amazing. Is you have trouble with mechanical can openers or is you have arthritis and can't use a manual o owner this is for you. It's like magic! The way it cuts can't you can reuse the lid to store interested did on the fridge. Brilliant product.

A disapointment. Frankly, while it opens the can. The cutting wheel is so high on the can rim and the cut is very narrow. It's impossible for any size can lid to pop off when you remove the opener. You end up using a knife to pry the lid off.

This is a MUST HAVE if you have any kind of hand surgery coming up. If you buy another brand, make sure it has a STANDARD rechargeable USB charging port. Changing batteries can be really hard on the hands. I bought the pink color so I can find it in a drawer of black & silver stuff. I strongly recommend this brand BUT it dose take awhile getting used to the fact that it opens the lid from the outside not the inside, you can pop the top back on, and store left overs in refrigerator. The canslab Ultrablde SE is a lot better than the other well known brand that I had. Remember you can return it but I really don't think you. This is my personal review & I'm not being paid.

This item is so easy to use. Just line it up on the can, press the button and watch it spin around the top of the can. This is so simple to use. No more wrist, hand or thumb aches from traditional hand-held can openers turning the knob. This is as simple as it gets. Just be cautious, it does not stop until you push the button after a complete spin around the can. I do wish however, that the lid lifter at the other end was a bit deeper and longer, it seems to retract back inside the unit when trying to use, that part is not easy for vision impaired people. The "hook" should be a brighter color and longer with a deeper indent to help those with vision issues. I would recommend this can opener to everyone, especially the elderly with arthritic hand issues.

After opening a gallon can with a manual twist opener and feeling the pain in my old hands, I decided enough was enough and purchased a Canslab opener. The first try at using the new opener was a disappointment as it failed to do anything. It was a defective unit. I contacted the manufacturer and received an immediate response and was informed a replacement unit would be sent. I first want to brag on the great customer care from the manufacturer and then want to say the replacement unit worked as expected and made the can opening process easy. No sharp edges and an open can....what more could one ask for? Only 4 stars because it failed the first time!

I have standing electric and manual opener as well. I like how it opens the can though some cans are tougher to remove lid after opening and the little pop out tool is helpful but it's very slow and I wish it had an auto off. It will keep spinning if you don't stop it. Opened about 12 cans before needed a charge. Magnet is worthless. Does not hold open on metal surfaces and not strong enough to remove can lids.
