I love this light. It is electric. No changing batteries. You can get creative painting it.

I haven't started painting yet but I checked out the whole kit and it's good for the price. All-inclusive, standard paints. The planet quality is good, it works well. Excited to select a color scheme and design that will make the light effects particularly interesting.

I actually have a similar Jupiter lamp that I bought a few years back when these types of lamps were new.My nephew comes over and he wants to play with my planets... I have a few other planets/astro figurines displayed around, so when I saw this, I knew right away that I should order one for him.The lamp is actually sturdy. He rolls it around the hard floor and has dropped it a few times, not hard or from a terrible high distance, but still, the lamp hasn't broken and holds its functionality. I am pretty impressed by the durability.The package includes three figurines to go along with the lamp: two astronauts and a small shuttle. The package also comes with a charger and a wooden stand (easy to assemble). The other thing that is included with the package is a set of watercolor paints. The kid can paint the lamp any way he wishes to... I actually haven't let him do that. I can't speak of how painting the lamp changes the light or if the paint is washable, since we haven't tried that part.Overall, my nephew is happy and therefore I am happy. The price point is good for all things included.I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to have some fun quality time with their kid and even make it a learning lesson.

My granddaughter, who loves all things space related, will love this Jupiter night light. The various colors are great. And the globe will be even nicer once she paints Jupiter. A sure hit birthday present!The box came with a remote to change the brightness and color. The included little astronaut and rocket are really cute. Perfect for a 7 year old.Paint, a small plastic palette, a wooden stand to paint and the USB charging cord round out the set. A 5 star gift. I appreciated the "Especially for You" sticker on the top of the box!
