I tried this on my DJI drone right on the center of gravity, and had to make some small adjustments to avoid the bottom sensors. Once in the sweet spot, this works pretty well. The most fun activity we have found so far is tying a foam glider to the drone and letting it go from like 300 feet in the air. Pretty satisfying activity, especially when you follow the glider with the drone camera. Not much to it, certainly serves the purpose and lots of fun.

I like how you basically your strap it and it has a really long band so it’ll fit basically any type of drone and then it’s a simple hook and release so it’s reliable

This is better than the DJI specific droppers that work off the nav lights. This one has it's own remote and it works well. The instructions say it will work 1km away. It may do that. I tried mine at about 800 yards and it worked perfectly. This is much nicer than having to use the drone controller to activate the drop. I also like that it fit on my Holly Stone drones as well. So far I have used this for dropping baited fishing lines and for dropping water balloons when playing with my younger cousins at the lake. So far it has worked every time.

I bought this to deliver a stuffed toy duck into a scene during a play and it was perfect. Someone stood off stage and pressed the remote for the duck to drop from the lighting bar.

I ordered this so that I could fly baits out when sight fishing for reds. The unit secures easily to all three of my camera drones and the simple rotating servo arm dropper cleanly releases the included line ring each time. I only tested this in my field, but it operated from 400 yds which is further than I planned to use it. They claim 1km which I'm sure if its line of sight out over the water, could really do it. This would also be a lot of fun for a parachute drop for a birthday, or other surprise party. Really a pretty cool device, you could even try to hook a stuck drone with it and then disconnect it if the rescue line gets caught.
