Bought the 2.5 one. Clamp won’t stay tightened down to hug the pool frame, it slips after a minute causing the skimmer basket to float up out of the water and pump to get air locked. Very disappointed, because when I push the basket down and hold it where it’s supposed to be, the skimmer functions awesome and sucks in all the little debris and bugs that come by. So I know this skimmer would be great, but the clamp makes it unusable!

My pool has 2 inlets into the pump which is a small intex cartridge filter.Set this up on one of them and it was not getting suction.Shut off the 2nd inlet so it's only coming thru the skimmer it now works great

I bought to use with my Intex Ultra Frame 24ft x 12 rectangle pool. It was easy to install and attach and works well. It does catch and hold anything floating on the surface of the water.

Super easy to install! Good quality and sturdy. Every pool owner needs this! Good suction to clear all the surface debris. Easy to raise and lower depending on the water level. Comes with two different attachments: for rounded soft sided pools and steel frame.

Don't waste your money, though this would be better than the one I had last year because it was letting to much air in my pump. It will work great if it will quit slipping up off of your rail and coming up out of the water even if you have something on one side trying to hold it tightly to the pool it still is slipping up off the wall. I think this was worded wrong for the pool type or the wrong pictures was posted on this item because that's what I went on. Sorry if I went on picture but that I get my item and I see how they work for pools

It's doing a fabulous job so far! Have had it installed for just over a week. We live in Louisiana so there's never a shortage of bugs making their way into our pool.

This is my second skimmer purchase. The issue with the old one is that it won't stay submerged because the clamp doesn't fit the cross member of my pool. This one looked like it would do a better job so I figured I'd try it. It does fit the oval metal rail better but it won't tighten down without the smooth and glossy plastic parts slipping, even after using pliers to tighten the anemic knob. I had to add a couple of washers in between the mating surfaces to hopefully keep them from sliding, causing the basket to float up and make my pump start sucking air...which is very bad for the motor. How about putting a ratcheted finish on those areas so they grab? More cheap Chinese crap.

After 10mins of the installation, the surface of the pool was clean. Remember to keep it clean before you swim or the collected debris will flow out.
