I can't believe how perfect this microphone is. I bought it to be a backup microphone to my audio technica AT2020+, but this is actually sounding a bit better!

Been using the PDMIUSB50 for half a day, so far. Bought it to help improve audio during my virtual conferences. Clear sound all right. If do-able, I'll probably edit the 4-star rating & give it a perfect 5 if the apparent half-second initial recording delay when leaving voice messages ceases from happening. Other than that, product does what I expect it to do. Counting on it to stay useful for a long time, too.

Got the USB mic to improve how a live instrument sounded when teleconferencing, Decided not to buy a far more expensive audio interface to jack a guitar in. The Pyle compared well with a more expensive Audio Technica model I borrowed. Setup was impeccable - immediately detected and used by Windows and Zoom as well as Google Meet. I like the easy dials for mic and headphone gain as well as the mute button, as well as the little symbol that tells me where the maximum cardoid pickup is.

Seems like a decent, solid mic for the money. Exactly as advertised. Sound is clear and mic is sensitive as you'd expect with a condenser. Only gripe is that the controls are not front facing, rather they are angled to the right by 90° wrt to the pickup pattern. Would gladly recomend to someone looking for a first USB mic.

I guess you always get what you paid for. The microphone came well packaged, looks brand new, seems to be completely steel, gives you a really good first impression, kind of premium feel. In contrast, the audio quality is not good, It did not have rare noise or something else like that, it is just the spectrum of sounds captured are so narrow. the tripod included is kind of short, and the legs are not adjustable, so it only has one position. I ended purchasing a 50 dollars arm from Walmart and that works really well. Knox Gear 30-inch Microphone Desktop Boom Arm.

The goodOpening the box I was instantly surprised by the build quality. It has a good weight and feels very very solid. Putting the device together was super simple and when plugged in the computer (win10) instantly recognised it and was ready for use. The matt black finish is wonderful with a lovely, but not too intense, blue light indicating power. The badSo far there is not much I have an issue with. Although a couple of things are worth noting. It feels as the stand has a couple of different positions it could "click" into, however, this appeared to not work so well. The weight of the mic ends up spreading the legs of the stand to their out-most position. This is not a big issue but prevents the ability to maybe position the mic inch perfect to your preference. The second point to note is how robust the buttons, and headphone jack sockets were. It took a bit of a while to get used to the amount of pressure I had to apply to insert the headphones or click the mute button. In fact, very occasionally had thought I clicked it but it did not register. These are not real issues, and in a way a testament to how solid of a build the mic is, but worth noting for full honestlyThe overallThe microphone is superb for its price point, very simple to set up and looks great. Previous microphones were able to pick up outside audio somewhat whereas this does such a better job. Highly recommend

I was in the market for a decent Podcasting microphone that was small enough to travel with, yet still have decent sound reception and clarity. I am not in the position to spend hundreds (or thousands) of dollars for our small company Podcasts but still needed something up to the task. This has been a great purchase since it checked all the boxes for what I was looking for.Initial setup was easy, attached the included cable and tripod and was pleased to find the adjustment screw sets tight and stays that way. (I have had another brand where the tripod screw didn't lock in place). Microphone feels solid and not plasticy, the controls feel good quality and don't pop/buzz like some other brands when adjusting them. And I am happy with getting an actual usable cable length! Plenty of slack to place the microphone where I want it on whatever work space we are working from. The plug and play works great, didn't have to fiddle with any drivers or updates. Every time I move locations or plug/unplug the mic, it's been no problem. The quality of sound has been crystal clear, I haven't had to do any post-production EQ or other processing. I was concerned about one session due to some background noise I could not control, but the pickup pattern on this mic is close enough in that the background noise wasn't a factor. So far I have used this mic for three different Podcasts (and lots of playing around testing) over the last two weeks and it has performed flawlessly. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again, a lot of bang for the buck if you're just getting into Podcasting or just on a budget but don't want to sacrifice quality.

I produce webinars and online courses. I learned the hard way that a USB microphone is essential for good quality audio. In fact, studies have shown that good audio is more important than good video.I now own three USB microphones: A poor quality microphone that I avoid, a "top of the line" microphone, and this one. Important features for good audio are "gain control" so you can increase volume if you have a soft voice like mine. Also, a cardioid microphone like this one will significantly background noise. My office is near a highway and while I prefer to record first thing in the morning, that is also when highway noise is greatest due to rush hour. Finally, it's good to be able to monitor your audio with earphones, and this microphone allows that. There are more expensive microphones on the market, and I own one of them in addition to this one, but after awhile you realize that you never use the features beyond those found on this microphone. Even though this one does not have all the "bells and whistles" of the other, it gets the job done at a more reasonable price. You also need a "pop filter" to record and this one comes with a foam cover which does the same. There are also hacks out there where you can connect a USB microphone to your smartphone. It does not work for all smartphones, and you have to download additional software, but it significantly improves audio on the road. However, most times I use this microphone with my usb camera.

Since I began my podcast some four years ago, I’ve been searching for the best microphone for on-air sound quality—without sending myself into bankruptcy. After experimenting with various other styles and brands, I believe I have found the perfect fit.The Pyle plug and play gives a clean and clear sound I just wasn’t able to sustain with the others I tried. This microphone offers a built-in headphone jack, headphone volume, and mic gain. There is also a handy mute button for those inopportune sneezes or coughs. It even looks cool. The sleek black appearance is highlighted by a soft blue light when plugged in. It comes with a tripod stand that helps it stay put.Setup is a breeze. Just plug it into your computer’s USB port and you’re ready to go. I use this model for my podcast. But it can also be used for recording. I’ve started using it for recording commercial promos for the show. I couldn’t be happier with this microphone.
