I bought these for tubing and swimming in the river to keep the sun off my hands. I'm worried that sunblock will eventually wash off and I'm concerned (my husband would say neurotic) about sun exposure and subsequent skin damage. These worked great. I wash them out with dish detergent when I get home and they air dry quickly. They were the only upf gloves that I could find that were expressly for swimming. And a plus is that they were not as bright an aqua color as they looked online.
