basically meets its descriptions on low noise, bright light and easy installation. The obvious off is body size as big as 7” high, so it requires the ceiling holding the product must be more than 8” from the top of the house.

This bathroom ventilation fan with light is designed to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly. My bathroom environment has been greatly improved. It provides plenty of light while taking a bath and at the same time exhausts moisture to keep the bathroom dry. It is both beautiful and practical. My family and friends have been raving about it.

I bought this because of the low SONES rating (a measure of sound) and air flow for an old bathroom fan upgrade. I was not disappointed, but the journey there was no without problems.First, this unit is bigger than a standard cheaper bathroom fan you can get at your local home improvement store. The size opening for those are 8". The opening for this fan has to be 10". To be sure, you'll need to do some modifying to the ceiling to get it to fit.Second, the wires for the light are very thin and there's almost nothing to them, so hooking them up to a wired building took a bit of finessing, but as long as they make contact, it works.To get this unit installed, I needed to access the attic. I had to remove the old unit (which was nailed to the frame of the house - that was an experience in frustration), then cut the ceiling to the proper opening. The mounting is done by way of screws and holes in the four corners of the fan assembly. I wasn't sure how strong the ceiling tile was, so when I mounted it, it was a the corner or two joists (boards), so I used the screws and secured it to the frame of the house, thru the ceiling. The remaining hole was screwed gently into the ceiling, but I didn't secure it to hold any weight.I had to buy a airflow adapter from the home improvement store because the duct size of the original fan was smaller than this fan. Connecting the duct to the adapter to the fan assembly was a bit much. Make sure you buy some duct tape to attach the duct to the adapter and to the fan assembly. You'll need it.After getting the fan installed, I tested it and in comparison to the old fan (75 dbA or 12 SONES), this one is 9 SONES or about 60dbA. Anything below 1 SONE (about 28dbA) is incredibly hard to hear, so I'm guessing that the 0.7 listing is a typo and maybe they meant 7 SONES. With the bathroom door closed, you can't even tell it's on, it's that quiet.Once I knew the fan was working, I got back into the attic and hooked up the wires for the light. As I mentioned above, they were very thin and barely much of a wire, so be sure you strip enough of the cover to make contact with the house wiring. As the description mentions, the wires are universal, so connect one to the hot and one to the neutral and when the switch is turned on...violá!The light assembly is detachable, so if the LED lights fail, you can always replace the light assembly without having to replace the whole fan assembly too.I've given it 3 out of 5 because of the misleading SONES rating and the hassle of installation. It's not as cut and dry as the sellers make it out to be.

This fan do not move any air from the area … I ended up buying another model from different seller .. hard to install in existing opening . Poor quality obviously China made what do you expect …. Sorry I got fooled . I don’t wants you get fooled so please don’t buy this fan .. Thanks
