Coming in a canning jar shape with a handle correlates to many kitchen decors. Adding the pastel color aspect makes it enticing. Open up the canning lid, and inside is a rope to tie around the neck of the jar. The set comes with tags so you can label what herb you planted with which color. A large hydroponic basket is set precisely in the jar opening, and a corded rope tied to the bottom of the basket provides a wick to draw water into the coconut peat mixture. The coco peat is generous. A little over half a puck will fill the basket. If you put too big a piece in the basket, the coconut peat will spill over the top once it is full of water. The system worked since most seeds germinated, and the ones that did not took longer. Growing herbs like dill, sage, oregano, marjoram, savory, and cilantro. When the sprouts get a bit bigger will snap on the metal rim. Check the height of the water by lifting the basket. It looks grand on my plant stand.

This is SO nice. I love the different mason jar colors. I love that it comes with soil AND seeds. This is just a must-have for everyone. If you eat food and you like herbs, and you want to try easy growing, get this kit! You won't regret it.
