I actually bought this thinking that my kids might be able to wear it for crazy hat day at elementary school, but it wound up being way too big for either of my kids. That was my error, it is listed as an adult hat. However, as an adult, this hat is too small for my head. Sure, I may have a larger head circumference than most, but frankly it was a little disappointing that it fit neither child nor adult. It is a cute and well-made hat. The orange yarn braids are silly and fun, and the horns on top really hold their shape well. I'll hang onto this and maybe it'll fit one of my kids in a few years.

My daughter loves playing dress up, doesn't matter what she is dressing up as. I got this to join her and she loved playing together. I have it to her abd she even played a Scary Viking, chasing me around wearing it.

This Viking hat by Jococs is a fun but warm piece of headwear.Design: The helmet portion is made of thick soft gray material. There are soft horns attached to each side with their bases surrounded by tan fake fur. Two orange yarn braids hang down from the sides. Although it's intended to look like a horned helmet that a fierce Viking might wear, the appearance is more playful and light-hearted than actual armor, and the braids are clearly yarn not hair. While the design is more playful than realistic, the hat still seems fairly well made.Size: The hat is somewhat small (about 21" to 22" circumference) and it is too tight to fit comfortably on my head. My 12yo son was able to wear it. The height from bottom of the hat's rim to the top is about 7". The horns are about 6.5" long and the outer width across both horns is about 12". The braids are 16" long.Usage: This hat is very warm. Even though it didn't fit on my head, I could immediately feel how warm it would be to wear it. My kids thought it was amusing to wear, but also very warm. As a result, this would probably be uncomfortable to wear indoors for very long. Given the size, it will probably work best for kids or smaller adults. What if you're a Vikings fan? This would probably keep your head warm at an outdoor football game, but it will probably be too warm to wear at indoor sporting events for very long.Final thoughts: It's a cute, fun hat with a Viking theme. I would prefer that the braids looked more like hair, and had a different color like blond or yellow. It's too small for me, but my kids will have fun wearing it.

It is a fun hat. The braids are VERY orange, and it is too small for an adult head. It does not fit on my head or my 11 year old's head. It does work on both my 8 and 6 year olds.

The Jococs Viking hat was disappointing. Firstly, the hat is made of cloth, which doesn't really evoke the Medieval period. It fits snugly on an average-sized adult male head. Just Meh

I recently discovered through DNA that I am 31% Scandinavian. When I told my husband, he began teasing me about being a Viking! At first I was a bit irritated, but now have decided to lean into it. After all, Viking women were fierce, strong and capable! So when Vine offered me this Viking hat, what else could I do but order one? This hat is well made of a soft, substantial material. The stitching is secure, with no loose threads. The “horns” are a lightweight but sturdy plastic (note: real viking helms apparently did not have horns, but, oh well, these look cool anyway). There is some soft, reddish tan faux fur trim around the base of the horns. The orange yarn braids are firmly braided, hang nicely from the hat and are an even length. The hat seemed a bit small at first, as it sits up higher on your head than in the picture, but that does make it look more authentically like a helmet. Now all I need is a Faering and I’ll be ready to fara i víking!
