Installed in upstairs bedroom and had to sister a 2x4 in the attic to be able to use the 4 bults but was worth the trouble because now it is very stable. Love the fact that the TV is not on the highboy anymore.

I installed a 32” flat panel TV onto this ceiling mounted bracket in my unfinished basement to get the TV off of a model railroad table. My installation was a little more involved, not because of the bracket, but because of my choice of location. I had to screw in a little 2x6 cross member between the ceiling joists to create my ceiling.After doing that, the installation was pretty straight forward. After getting the TV mounted, its weight caused the down shaft to angle back a bit, so it wasn’t straight up an down. This is because the down shaft just sits freely in the mounting bracket, which allows the ability to turn the shaft & TV to where you want it.I think leaving it like that would have been ok, but I did worry about too much weight being put on one side of the mounting bracket. So, being a fuss budget, I rigged a support out of some other 2X stock and wedged it in between the down shaft and a steel I-beam that crosses my basement and right behind the bracket installation. That keeps the shaft straight up and down without losing any ability to reposition the TV.For my application, this thing works great!

This mount was waaaaay nicer than I expected, seems it should cost a lot more. Very strong and well built. Would have gave it five stars but the hole pattern on the mount only fit 2 of the screw holes on the back of my 32 Roku Hisense tv. For now I’m using the 2 which is more than enough but I’ll make a bracket for it. Overall, probably one of the best made and easiest to assemble products I’ve got from amazon.

Even though the installation instructions are poor it was not hard to install. I am a 71 year old woman and I installed it myself without any problems. My TV is on the smaller side (32") and is not heavy. It seems very stable and well made. I wanted to hang my TV from the ceiling joist in my lower level so I could see it while walking on my treadmill. I spent a few minutes looking over the installation parts and identifying where everything needed to go and then put it together. I followed another posters advise and connected the TV to the mounting bracket and corresponding connecting (female) pole first, then lifted the entire assemblage up and fitting female pole over male pole (that hangs from ceiling) and securing with provided bolt. If you have a larger Tv you may need help. I am pleased with this purchase.

Good quality.Bought for use outdoors under a backyard metal gazebo. The ceiling mount attached nicely under the sloped roof.We bring the TV back inside the house at the end of the day and this mount is easy to separate from the TV. The back plate on the TV has 3 bolts. The top two bolts can have the nuts left on, since it just slides down onto the bracket. You only need to then hand thread & tighten the third nut to get the TV to stay secure.

I travel for work and when I did work from home, it was on a laptop. When we started working from home full time (Covid-19), I set up a triple monitor workstation but couldn't see my TV over my monitors. All of the stands I saw that were designed to be desk mounted were just too short so I looked fo alternatives and found this one. I have it bolted to a table (with a plywood backplate underneath) and it is rock solid and plenty tall enough (I have it as low as I can go). I also like the I can fish the wires down the mount and out a slot at the back to keep them hidden. I have a 47" Samsung LED TV on it and it's fine. If you're looking for a taller mount to go on a table or desk, be carful that it's not one of the types where the actual mount just held to the ceiling plate with a single pin. It won't be able to stay upright. You need one where everything can be fastened together like this one. Overall, completely satisfied.
