This was for my 2003 Camry California emissions. The catalytic converter came without 3 studs on the bottom. I ended up making several trips to Home Depot buying two 10M-1.25 40mm cap screws for the flange screwing it in from the opposite side. The 10M-1.25 25mm cap screw for the side bracket did not work as the thread galled, so just ended up using a smaller cap screw (8M) with a washer to just push it through the hole and tightened it with a nut. This 1 hour repair ended up to be a one day job. I would never buy a Walker product.

I put this on a 2002 Camry (made in Japan). It fit well and the car just passed smog—the guy actually looked up the cat in the computer to make sure it was legal in CA.But it came with a broken gasket—they just tossed one into the box with the cat, stapled the box shut, and shipped it. Come on, guys. Drop the gasket into a bag and tape the bag to the inside of the box.

Bought this for my 2002 Camry 2.4L. Cat arrived with very poor packaging and damaged gasket. No studs on flange so had to buy a new exhaust gasket, two studs for connection to exhaust pipe and one stud for mounting bracket. The header portion of the converter fits well and once mounted to engine the converter does mate up with the exhaust pipe flange well but plan on an extra four hours of getting the converter bolted to the engine. Converter does not have the mounting stud attached like the OEM but instead it's welded to a 1/4" steel rod that does not line up with the mounting brackets. Had to heat with torch and bend to make it line up. Does not come with its own mounting brackets so you have to use the original brackets from your converter and fit is so far off I had to cut, bend and reweld the passenger side mount to bolt the converter to the engine. The driver side mount will work but bolt hole to engine has to be ground out to line up correctly. The fit for the heat shield is poor and only three of the four bolts will line up and the 02 sensor hole has to be opened up an inch to get the sensor in and tightened up. Converter does seem to work so far and the Camry passed the California smog test. Not sure how Walker sets up their welding jig when fabricating these but a trip to Pick and Pull to buy a 2.4 engine for a quality control test stand might not be a bad idea for them.

Not the best fitment. But it helped pass CA smog.

2002 Toyota Camry 2.4 California emissions replacement catalyst, works like OEM. Maintenance readiness cleared within 30 minutes of driving. The heat shield mounting tabs had to be bent in order to make them fit, one lower left bracket would not fit but the one on the right did. Had to re-use flange studs. Passed smog check so it worked out.

One of the brackets don’t fit and I had to reuse the 4 or the stud screws. The bracket under the alternator did not fit the catalytic converter.

A shop wanted $1400 to replace this for a car worth maybe $2500. I said "hells no!" Along with the repair shop's worst enemy, YouTube, and a OBD scan tool, I was able to permanently shut off the Check Engine light for the P0420 code.Got it smogged today and it easily passed. Look for the video by Fix it Angel on YouTube. It wasn't exactly the same (probably due to mine being the CA model), but it was good enough for me to git er done :-)Also, thanks to reviewer Ji jaehyeok for the list of tools you'll need. One thing he said wrong was that you'll need a 22mm socket for the O2 sensor, but you really just need a 22mm combination wrench, which I got from Amazon for $8. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EFKZ7I6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My 25x,xxx miles 2002 camry 2.4 had P0420 code for a while and finally decided to change Cat converter.I tried the method of put lacquer thinner in the fuel tank of half of gas but it didn't work for me.The price is much cheaper than OEM one, the weigh wise, not so much different between this product and stock one.The installation was not really hard.In my case it took 2.5hrs due to didn't have electric tools.. you better have good breakerbar and power tool. What you need are,Ratchet10mm socket12mm (socket and wrench)14mm socketO2 sensor socket (22mm)Breaker barPenetrating oilWalker 31585 gasket (i bought at local Autozon)The only problem was put the heat shield cover back on.There 4 bolts and left low one doesn't align with this product.3 bolts out of 4 are aligned. Therefore, I left 1 hole as not tightened.(Refer to last picture)Other than that problem, the pipe itself is perfectly aligned with back pipe. The most helpful installation video on youtube is'Fix it angel' one.The engine check light is gone.( I've driven 1000miles after replace)I took several pictures may help you guys to install.Thanks.
