I bought 2 Wasabi Power LP-E8 batteries & charger for Canon T5i in October of 2013. I bought the camera with an original Canon battery in September of 2013. All 3 batteries still function well. I am still able to get many hours & hundreds of photos with any one of these on one charge. I have interchanged the batteries & never noticed a big difference between one another. I have taken many thousands of photos over these years without issue. The longevity of these batteries surprises me as most comments suggest that the li-ion batteries in cameras die after 2 - 4 years. The original Canon battery weighs 50 grams & the 2 Wasabi batteries weigh 39 grams each. In general terms I should therefore be getting more charge out of the Canon battery. In reality I haven't noticed any difference. All 3 batteries now lose charge faster if I leave them standing unused. Originally they retained most of their charge even if left idle for several months. Now they seem to lose approximately 40 - 60% of their charge after 1 month of non use.The have used the Wasabi charger exclusively since purchased & prefer it to the original Canon re-charger. It still works fine.Overall, definitely a good value.

Casi diría que mejor que la batería original que vino con mi 600D, ya que estas son de 2000mAh (aunque la descripción dice 1500, las fotos donde se ve 2000 son correctas)

"Whoa, what the heck are you?""I'm Wasabi!""Hehehehehe... Waaaaaaaasaaaaaaabi...."Old Annoying Orange thing, pretty funny. Well that's what I'm always reminded of when I think of my now extensive collection of Wasabi LP-E8's and NB2LH's. I've been getting these ever since the old Rebel XT and NB2LH days, and then of course I replaced my aging XT with a Canon T2i so I started racking up LP-E8 batteries for it. They've always held up well for me with a long service lifespan and good run times, so I just keep em coming as I need em. The chargers always come with a European outlet adapter, the prongs on the charger itself fold away when not needed, and of course they always come with a car lighter plug, and the charger itself has the little power socket for it on the side. For what little you pay for this stuff, it works amazingly well, and honestly I am NOT in the camp that thinks the Canon batteries work "so much better". Battery packs are thrown together from huge stockpiles of loose Li-Ion cells from China, and every camera manufacturer on the planet is pretty much using the same ones. Canon doesn't have some Li-Ion cell manufacturing trick up its sleeve somewhere any more than anyone else, and I sure don't see a wicked performance difference for the insane prices they ask for theirs. I've had bad packs from other third party companies, yes, but not Wasabi, so that's why I stick with them. One very interesting thing about the Wasabi chargers specifically - they're made with two pieces that slide together. They do this so that they can use one main body with a wide range of pack holder pieces. It's clever for them, and I just recently realized that it's about the best thing to ever happen to my hobby of DIY electronics. I can buy up two chargers, and dismember one of them to use the pack holder piece as a battery pack holder for my latest crazy design, be it another homemade laser or my latest thing which is a homemade Arduino Geiger counter. I simply solder in some wires to run to my project, and presto, I have LP-E8 or NB2LH power for my design. The second charger of course is left alone for use in actually charging the packs, and the body of the one I took the holder from is put away for in case one of my other chargers dies. If I for whatever reason kill my NB2LH charger, I simply swap the holder out onto the backup and I'm right back in business. How cool is that? Too cool, that's how cool.So anyway, I definitely love the Wasabi stuff, and I'll be loyal with them as long as my needs hold out.

Great product, longer than OEM battery life. I prefer the charger supplied with this kit to the Canon OEM.

I use the charger as a spare with the added attraction of being able to charge batteries by 12v supply away from the mains supply. Handy when in the car or camping. The additional 2 batteries are a bonus and are curently standing up well.

I bought this item mainly for the batteries but the charger is a nice bonus that works well. Its compact enough to store in my camera bag. Because it has a builtin 120Vac plug that swivels out i do not need to carry long power cord like the one used by the Canon charger that came with the camera. The 12v cigarette lighter plug and cord can stay in my car. This has now become my main charger and my Canon OEM charger is now stored in a closet as a back up.The batteries are a perfect fit for my Canon T5i and each have performed as well as the Canon OEM battery that came with the camera. I have taken several thousand photos in the past couple of months and have not had any complaint regarding battery life or charging.FOLLOW UP:I have been using two of these Wassabi batteries and charger for 21 months along with the OEM Canon battery that came with my camera. I cycled usage of all three batteries as equally as I could across nearly 30,000 shots.Arround about month 14 the Wassabi charger failed while using it in a car. Contacted the vendor and obtained a new one under warrantee with no questions asked once my amazon purchase transaction was verified. As for the batteries I had no issue until last night (5/23/2015) when I had one battery operate with a reduced capacity. Noticed that both Wassabi batteries have a slight bulge (one more than the other) which is a sign that the end is near for them. By comparison the OEM battery that came with the camera is still going strong and has no bulging. These Wassabi batteries are 1/5th the price of an OEM Canon battery and functioned well enough that I consider them an excellent value.Based on my overall positive experience with this product I have decided to make new purchase of 2 batteries and charger to day (05/24/2015)4out of 5 because of some difficulty getting the batteries out of the charger. The batteries fit and snap in very easily how ever taking the battery out is a little difficult as the battery needs to be pressed to the side at a lower corner with some force to release it from a spring latch. The OEM Canon battery is particularly difficult to remove because its latch detents on the sides are slightly deeper compared to the other two batteries. The instructions were not that clear in describing how to remove the battery from the charger. I had to use a table knife to pry the battery out the first time i tried it. I then noticed a small arrow cast into the plastic that was covered by the battery that was labeled remove.Once i pressed the battery in that direction it popped out with a little pressure but without the need to pry it out with a knife.

Now this is a strict requirement for shooters to have spare battery. One can carry it along on its own or even use it with a battery grip. Its actually cheaper and works fine without any lag in battery life compared to the factory-supplied canon battery. Also one can charge it on the go so thats makes car charging pretty helpful in outskirts. What I like :1) Price : Its cheap2) Ease of charging : Power pin or car charging option3) Built quality : looks like a nicely built product4) Better battery life than any other 3rd party cheap batteries. What I dont like :1) Shipping duration : very slow since it ships from US. Be prepared for 15-20 days of waiting but its worth it!
