This is a very nice, and relatively large foot mat. It looks great and adds class to our boat. The only issue we noticed is that the backing of the mat is relatively slippery and does not stay put on normal non skid deck surface. We are more accustomed to heavier mats that are "sticky" on the back side so they stay where they have been placed. If used inside on a cabin sole, the mat is fine but it leaves a lot to be desired when used outside on a deck where it would prevent water and dirt from being tracked into the cabin. Its not possible to place any "non skid" material under the mat when used on deck - especially in a trawler cockpit that can expect to see lots of water and motion in waves.

On one of the ones i ordered, you had to stand right in front of it to see the embroidery. If you looked at a side angle you couldn't make it out. One of them you could and the other you couldn't. I thought the mat would be a litter thicker. its to thin. I left the other carpet under the new one because it was to thin.
