I wanted something low profile and wide/large enough to fit our dogs toys. This is working out perfectly. He did think it was a toy at first as well and roughed around with it a bit, but once we established his toys go in it and not to chew on the basket, he is easily able to maneuver into it and get out whichever toy he wants. The basket didn't suffer any damage during the introduction either, which is great.

What is it about baskets that makes them so expensive? This one does have a decent design and it'll take some time and filling it up to take out the creases from packaging in its collapsable state.I'm not entirely sure why it would need to be waterproof - the inner material is very crinkly sounding. The only support the basket has is the top rim - there is no support on the sides or bottom, just material. I wouldn't put anything weighty in it. The nicest part of th basket are the handles; a faux leather grommeted in the material.It'll get used on one of the shelves in my art studio. I don't like keeping too many things on the floor for ease of vacuuming. I think the price is too high for this basket, with or without the faux handles.

The basket is fine in term of putting together. Sewing around look good. The handles are rivetted to the basket and look good from inside. The inside ends of the rivets are hidden that makes interior look uniform.The outside fabric of the basket looks good. The design is nice. However, the inside material gets crinkles and forms folding lines.It is definitely sturdy.

When I originally ordered this storage bin, the word "set" was used in the product title, and half of the product pictures showed two of these bins in every picture -- so I'd (incorrectly) assumed that this was going to be a set of two matching bins... However, what I received was only a single bin. But upon a closer reading of the product details, I see that it is noted that the product is only a single item, and some of the product pictures only show one bin at a time... So, I'll take part of the blame for not paying super-close attention to the fine-print ... But I think the use of pictures with double-bins and the use of the word "set" is kinda misleading. However, as long as you're only expecting to receive a single collapsible storage box this item is pretty good (although perhaps a bit expensive considering you only get one -- the price seemed more reasonable when I thought it was for two).The plasticky canvas used for the walls and base of the box seems to be stiff enough that the box mostly holds its shape and can stand up easily on its own (it doesn't collapse unless you push down on it, so that's good -- although I wonder if it'll be able to maintain that stiffness over time, or if it'll eventually start losing its shape). The material also seems to be pretty water-proof, or at least water-resistant.The box is a good size for storing things like face cloths, small hand-towels, maybe piles of socks, shampoo bottles, books, a couple of stuffed animals or small toys, etc... Whatever odds and ends you might want to organize out of the way and stick on a closet shelf -- this little bin will be hand for things like this.It's strong enough that you can easily carry things around in it as well... Just keep in mind you can't really stack anything on top of it, since it does collapse and the sides are just a stiff fabric -- most of the structure comes from some sort of (probably plastic) ring around the inside of the top of the walls, but without much structure supporting the walls themselves.The design on the box is nice and clear, and it seems like it should be pretty easy to clean if it ever got dirty.
