I have had one of these before and it worked great. I have no doubt this will also but I hired the wrong installer who insisted only the PA system would work and tried to sell me a separate air horn system He did not wire it properly and I have to fine someone else to correct it,

I was really disappointed For the high price this really shoud be completely wired and easier to install. The contents had apparently been opened and repacked using an actual sandwich bag and another bag which had numerous staple holes from being opened and then stapled again and again. If this wasn't the results of a used return sold again, then its a very poor example of packaging quality. Dare I buy another with hopes to receive new?

This unit is built well, easy to install, and gave me the air horn sound I was looking for. The days of a wimpy horn are long gone.

I had this thing and its predecessor in my cart for years... but the price always threw me. Plus the fact that you have to buy a 100w speaker, just to have the ability to honk a cop horn and play sounds through the PA.Well, one drunken night after a Christmas bonus I decided to move it from my Saved for Later and pull the trigger.BEST. DECISION. PERIOD.This thing is beyond awesome and im mad that I waited so long. Just buy it. Its worth it and you won't be disappointed.GET A FUSE TAP AND INSTALL IT ON YOUR FUEL PUMP FUSE. USE THIS WIRE TO POWER THE UNIT. THANK ME LATER.

While a little bulky, this PA/horn unit is very useful. IT produces a loud, but also clear horn tone that will have traffic alert and moving out of your way quite rapidly. I especially like the PA feature for the fact that sometimes, you JUST need to tell a driver they're driving like a drunken monkey.

This horn/PA was exactly what I was looking for. I was on a ride along with police friend and mentioned how id love to have a device that was horn tone and intercom only, with no sirens. Did some research, and found that Whelen makes exactly that. I ordered this, along with a cheap 100w speaker, and installed it right away.Initially I was very disappointed with the unit. Sound was not as loud and projection was not as far as I was expecting at all. Ended up doing some research and found that speaker choice and placement is the #1 factor in getting volume and projection. ALL 100W SPEAKERS ARE NOT EQUAL!! The $40 speaker I had ordered on Amazon just wasn't loud enough, and mounting it right behind my bumper was a mistake (all the sound was being trapped)I ended up ordering a used police surplus Federal AS124 speaker (supposedly loudest 100w speaker you can obtain), and fabricating a steel mount to raise the speaker up so it was directly behind my open grill. Holy hell, this thing is damage-your-hearing loud now. The difference between the cheap speaker and the federal is like a .22LR vs a .308. So if you get this unit, don't skimp on the speaker, and place is smartly. The AS124 is a good choice, or a Whelen sa315p is you're limited on space. Also a frequently asked question seems to be "What else do I need to install this?" You will need a speaker, an inline fuseholder (20A) for the positive connection to the battery, a momentary switch, and some extra 16awg stranded wire. Also have some assorted electrical components for clean wiring work (butt connectors, ring terminals for battery connection)

It is everything it says it is ... for thoose wondering yes it sounds exactly like a police car horn ... ignore the YouTube videos that show it sounds wrong ... just make sure that you use a good name brand speaker i used a Whelen sa315P that i got used off of an ex cop car ... install is easy if you have a basic knowledge of how to wire stuff up in cars you really only have to run 6 wires power ground speaker positive speaker negitave and two wires to a momentary switch ... install took me about 3 hours half of which was spent figuring out where to mount it as the unit is bigger then i expected ... so if you are looking for an air horn with out the siren look no further ... if you are installing on a 05-10 grand Cherokee i would recommend mounting the unit under the passenger seat as it was a perfect fit for me
