This bolero does a good job providing coverage to arms and shoulders if you have a strapless or thin strapped top/dress. The material is sheer but not very noticeable unless you wear it over white clothing. If you wear this black bolero over black clothing, then this bolero does not appear sheer at all. Like another reviewer mentioned, this bolero is more of a fashion piece. This thin material will not likely keep you warm in colder weather.

I got this for a cruise I have coming up but I can see using it for lots of nighttime outfits. It is very sheer, which it's meant to be. I think it will be great if the a/c is a little too much, but I wouldn't think it would do much to actually keep you warm, it's meant as a fashion piece first so that makes sense. It washed well, I laid it flat to dry on a rack and it came out very nice. I look forward to bringing this with for nights out.
