This piece is a good way to store a set of pens, with a few caveats. Out of the box, there are a few minor imperfections, but for the price, don’t expect absolute perfection. It’s a budget solution, and it looks better than the price would suggest. The major points are these. First, while the description mentions fountain pens, do not store fountain pens in this set-up. There is a lengthwise slot, intended for your phone, which might store a fountain pen laid flat, but fountain pens should be stored horizontally, not vertically. If you store them nib-up, they dry out, and nib-down, you risk oversaturation. Store your fountain pens horizontally. However, this is good for gel or ballpoint. That said, observe that the wood can potentially scratch anything scratchable. Titanium, for example, is susceptible to scratching, and any polished titanium might be scratched if you are not careful. Watch that. However, the set-up is good, the slots are low enough that a clip will not interfere with storage, but high enough for stability, the diameter is wide enough to accommodate relatively large pens, and you have plenty of space. All in all, a good piece for the price.
