the aluminum runners have no steel spot to activate the position sensors and the ball stays are loose; was afraid they would fall out, meaning a teardown all over again

I'm sure they work for some. But some year groups that this includes have different arms, these did not work for me because there are no sensor clips

The metal linkage rods are die cast, probably pot metal. They needed some fettling before I felt comfortable burying them under the intake, because it's a 4 hour job to get to them. Wanted to make sure the rough edges would not wear out the plastic pins. Nothing a box knife and file couldn't fix. Still think they are a vast improvement over the plastic OEM rods, on which the holes became ovalled by wear. My vehicle did not have any kind of sensor that some other people are talking about... why they needed a magnet on the rod, I guess? Must be some different models that have it.

This is a huge job to get down there and find it's not correct just pisses me off. Does not have tabs for sensor rails. Sending back do not recommend.

Lacks ferrous sensor trigger pads so you will have issues with the MIL lamp being on. As these parts are located deep within the dark heart of our engines, several labor hours away don’t make the mistake of using these if you are planning to stay within the law. Other than that fatal flaw….good quality construction.
