Bike truing stands are set up to do QR skewer axles. This adapter allow you to use your truing stand with thru axle wheels.Works great on a variety of axle sizes, both in diameter and width. Very pleased with the results and performance.

I can't remember the last time I had to true a wheel. But since I now have a couple of bikes with thru axles, I thought it would be a good idea to have one of these in my tool box just in case. The first one I received had threads completely stripped in one of the blue supports. The replacement arrived in good working order. I have an inexpensive "Minoura Workman Pro Portable Truing Stand". It will open wide enough to accommodate the adapter, which is about 175mm for a rear wheel 12 x 142mm thru axle (see photo). The adapter will not sit down in the forks on my stand (see next photo). I think it will work, but I might try to get nuts and washers to secure it to the forks while truing. This problem might be specific to my truing stand. I think for the cost, and the fact that I may not use it very much, it is worth having around.

Works great for 15x110mm boost front wheels however the total thickness of the 148mm hub plus the adapter comes in at ~182mm which is too wide to fit into the TS2.2 Which has a max hub dimension of 175mm.I found I had to turn the adapter around and use the single 12mm step on the outside of the large hex as the axle adapter end and the stand contacts the 15mm ring. This works fine now as it is new but with some wear and tear may not be ideal in the future.Overall it works, but would be better with a thinner design.

I purchased the adapter for my truing stand to work on 1980’s bikes I’m restoring like the Schwinn Tempo. The thru-axle diameter is too large to fit through the hub opening. I also found that it does not fit through the hubs of some newer bikes like the Pacific Quicksilver. Otherwise, it works fine for bikes that have the larger hub opening.

Perfect little tool for use on thru axle wheels on an older trueing stand. My stand was designed for QR style and threaded axel wheels. With this gizmo I can now true thru axel wheels .... There is no quick mounting method but it's not expected for the price.
