I listened to reviews saying this ran big and they were wronnnng. The corset back gives some leeway, but the modesty panel under it is quite small. I wear a 26 comfortably lately, but went for the 26 here, and the modesty panel is not large enough to cover under the ribbon. The chest area is surprisingly small and structured, and the cups sit very high. It does smell super chemically right out of the package but I’m hoping it’ll get better as it airs out. The material is not too stiff and it feels quality. The cut is super flattering and hides the apron belly if you can find the right size. I personally love the length as it’s not too tea-party and I wouldn’t need hemming like the longer version.Update: i wore it in the sunlight today and wanted to share a picture of the true color. It is not navy, it is blue blue. Also including a photo of the color in warmer, dimmer lighting. I discovered the sheer pockets today and I like them. The arms are a bit itchy right at the elastic because the material gathers there, but for the most part it was pretty comfortable to wear. With some finagling I was able to get the modesty panel to cover, but I’m not delighted with the look of the back. Ignore the bra- it was a test run :)

There is so much to love about this pretty puff sleeve princess dress, but my current favorite feature that no one seems to have mentioned is the pockets. Sure they are just part of the first two top layers, making whatever is in your pockets sort of visible, however it doesn’t change the fact that they’re there and are large and sturdy enough for a phone.I purchased this gorgeous gown in sheer panicked desperation. My daughter didn’t make it clear she wanted to attend prom until about 2 weeks before prom. I spent twenty extra dollars for rush shipping, and even then there was a slight chance it might night show up until the day of prom. Fortunately it came 2 days beforehand and gave me enough time to alter the length and bring up the neckline a little. This dress is incredibly well made considering the cost. Does it look like it’s made of silk and organza? The answer is no, but the construction of the gown is high quality and the fabric is soft, not scratchy. The dress isn’t see-through, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to fall apart through repeated wear, and my daughter didn’t overheat in it while dancing. My daughter received a lot of complements in this gown, it looked gorgeous on her and she felt comfortable and happy wearing it. Having read through a lot of reviews it seems as though that hasn’t been the case for everyone, which is a shame. Everyone deserves to have the princess gown of their dreams on special occasions that require formal attire.I believe one of the biggest reasons this dress worked for my daughter is because I was incredibly irritatingly thorough while taking her measurements before selecting a size. I knew I only had one shot to get it right considering time constraints and the super tight budget. Even then it turns out I could have sized down one size to a 4 based these two factors: 1) the size 4 would have fit her chest measurements exactly, 2) the closure of the gown laces up which gives the wearer a little leeway in the waistline—the size 6 lacing was tight as it could possibly get and it fit my daughter just right. The sleeves are sort of convertible in the sense that you can make them pretty short or wrist-length.I’m sorry this is the only picture I have of her in the dress right now, I’ll try to post more later.

So the dress is great quality & beautiful, unfortunately we followed the recommendation from reviews to size up & its to big. And even worse we can’t send it back in time. We already spent an extra $30 to get it here in time. But my kid loves the dress so much she has to make a decision to either wear it as is (we can get it to fit by lacing the corset as tight as possible, but you loose that pretty corset look & there’s still a gap); or try and send it back for the correct size & wear a different dress to prom but have the dress in the right size for future wear.So unless the dress sizing is inconsistent in different sizes, I’d rec getting your normal size. My kid is normally somewhere between an XS & small & usually goes with size small. She’s petite (5.2 & 1/2, 102lbs) but has a larger bust for her size (30D). That’s why we often go a bit larger to make sure the bust isn’t to tight. I really don’t think that would be an issue with this dress bc of the adjustable corset. So consider that when it comes to sizing, you have a lot of wiggle room bc the corset goes below the hips.So quality: im impressed. Usually when faced with an item from multiple sellers it’s kind of a c.rap shoot on whether the quality will be good. Sometimes like with this dress you get impressive quality, other times not. Normally I wouldn’t risk it for an important event, but this dress was the only one that fit my very picky kid’s needs. All the American dresses with quicker shipping time (which would have given us time yo return the dress if it didn’t fit the way we wanted), were either to s.exy, to long, to short, and most were sleeveless or had to deep a v neck. Also most didn’t fit her aesthetic, being to sophisticated or to frou frou. My kid likes clothes that have a bit of a cottagecore vibe. The dresses from China were the only ones that fit what she wanted. This dress was the only one that came in a color she wanted, had the style she wanted, wasn’t super short or super long (if you’re shorter this isn’t a mid length dress, it’s ankle length, which was fine, she just worried about tripping over the dress). So when the dress got here and was so well made & the fabric so nice, we were very relieved. There’s only so much you can trust Amazon reviews. So in conclusion we bought a size 6 but should have gotten a size 4. Maybe even a size 2, but I think a 4 would work. I would def go with the size that normally works best for you, & if possible order well ahead of time so if the fit is wrong you can try and return it for the correct size. But the quality is excellent. $65 + shipping is a great price for this dress. (We paid closer to $100 bc of expedited shipping, but I think it’s worth that much if this is the style of dress you want.)Edit: my kid is so in love with the dress it’s more important to have it in the correct size and it’ll be her new go to fancy dress. It really is lovely and if you don’t need it fast, the price is incredible for the quality and look. So we’re going to return it for a smaller size. Fingers crossed we get the right size. My kid is petite so I’m worried a size 4 will still be a bit big but I also don’t want to buy a to small size. So here’s hoping we get the correct size this time.
