I have very wide feet and these fit comfortably. These are indeed 'bare foot' feeling shoes... you can feel everything you step on. The sole is very thin, but strong too. Laces and shoe body are made well and I believe will stand the test of time and abuse. It takes some getting used to for sure, all I've ever worn before these shoes is a standard thick sole hard rubber hiker.

To begin, these are good shoes. Specifically, these are good shoes for something like bouldering. They have some padding in the front part of the shoe, in the toe box area, and basically none in the back. At least that’s how it feels when wearing them.My husband and I are divided on the shoe (and I got them for him). He says they are a 4 star shoe because they don’t feel as good as being barefoot. He feels like they are a strange compromise because he felt like there was more cushion in the front of the shoe than in the back. To me, they seem to be what they say they are, for the most part, and perhaps it is just this is typical for the “barefoot” style of shoe and that it’s just not his style? I wish I had a better answer for this.In any case, we both agree that the tread is good on the shoe and that they have a good grip on the surfaces you walk/climb on. I think that for what they are they are a good buy. If you are unaccustomed to barefoot shoes, however, manage your expectations because this style of shoe may be strange for you, but I think if you want to try it out, this is a good starter pair of “barefoot” shoes.A note on the size: my husband typically wears a 7.5 in mens, but sometimes an 8 (this is in American sizes), in European shoe size he typically wears a 39 or 40. Some brands can be different, for example in Cole Haan dress shoes he is always an 8. So we ordered an 8 in these. However, he says these are a little too big for him, so he would have preferred the 7.5. I would say, order your exact size and don't size up.

Okay, let’s get this out of the way first. I don’t run so can’t speak to how they perform as trail runners.I am on my feet 8 hours a day on concrete so I can make observations on their comfort level over longer periods of time.I love these shoes. I expected them to lack support and to feel every pebble or variation in the terrain under my feet. Not the case. While there is a noticeable lack of padding on the sole, they were very comfortable right from the start and molded to the nicely to my feet; almost like a hug from your grandma. They are fine if you are on your feet for shorter periods of time but my legs started to feel fatigued after about 4 hours of constant standing and walking. If you have a job where you sit on a regular basis these are probably great but I wouldn’t recommend these for extended periods of walking or standing.I love the way they look. They have a sleek style but at the same time make you look like you could be one of those cool cats who drive Subarus, own mountain bikes that cost more than used cars and only drink microbrews.I’m none of those but you’d never know when I’m wearing these bad boys.

I am using this barefoot shoe for my personal use, whwen working in yard around the house. They are a little to uncomfortable for my feet they seem to just be to thin in cushion or the arch is not big enough for me. I do like the durable and high-quality material they are made from. I feel that the price is reasonable for the product I received and compared to others on the market. The have great grip and are great to use on wet or damp grass for traction. I like the flexible and nontie design.

These are great shoes and are very well-made. But it is my fault that I didn’t follow the sizing suggestions and I ordered them one size too small for my feet. Darn! They look great with jeans and shorts.

I think I've found my new go-to shoes for the summer. Wow, these feel great and are super comfortable on my feet. I have worn them on several long dog walks covering many miles, and my feet felt no discomfort. I wore them through a 2-hour band practice with a heavy guitar on my shoulder, and my feet felt amazing. I love the fit and style of these. They have kind of a boxy toe shape like some popular name brand sandals do but these are even lighter and more comfortable. Kind of a unique style of shoe, but I really dig it and plan on wearing these a lot this summer. They are listed as black but as you can see in the pics the color is kind of lighter than traditional black and more of a gray. The brand seems to have an impressive mission that I can get behind, and the reasoning for their shoes and the barefoot movement resonates with me. I enjoy being barefoot a lot, but I know it's not great for my feet. Now, with these shoes, I can maintain some of the good feeling of being barefoot without compromising the health of my feet. The soles have great traction and almost like a tire tread pattern for traction. They seem like they will be very durable. I see no wear and tear yet, and I have worn these pretty hard for a week. I'm very impressed with these shoes and will definitely be looking for more kicks from this brand in the future. If you're on the fence don't hesitate, your feet will thank you!

I’m honestly impressed. These XPETI barefoot shoes showed up looking clean and well-made right out of the box. The leather feels high quality and the fit was true to size. I wear a 10 and they locked in perfectly without any pressure points.Wore them all day at the office, then straight to a light gym session and they didn’t miss a beat. They’re easy to slip on but once they’re on, they stay put. Super comfortable too... almost sock-like but with just enough structure to feel stable. My feet felt great, even after a long day moving between meetings and walking around.Overall, 5 stars because they look sharp, feel amazing, and handle both work and workout without compromise.
