The insert sits just below the face so not a great fitment.

It is a good looking insert. Quality molded with a good fit and finish. Of course it is just a piece of plastic, which is good. The insert fits the saw and the holes all line up. Does the job it was designed for.Only other thought, the current price of 13.99 seems about right, I think the regular price of 19.99 is a tad high for a molded piece of plastic. That is only my opinion.Like it, would recommend.

I needed to replace the zero clearance insert on my saw. If I recall correctly, I paid about 10 bucks more for the old ZCI. Believe it was phenolic, so it was quite stiff. Worked great until I made some bevel cuts. That widened the opening in the insert enough that it was no longer zero clearance.This new insert is PVC and is just a bit thinner (6mm) than the old one, which is 6.4mm. Turns out that’s not a problem at all. I was surprised to see the new one was wider than the old one (see photo) but was pleased to see it fit better than the old one.I did have to tighten the screws quite a bit to get the insert to get flush with the saw.What I’d really like to see is a quick-change ZCI so I could swap out the “good” ZCI for one that has been used for bevel cuts.Anyway, this is a quality product at a reasonable price.
