Once the temperatures drop in the winter, our pool vac hose likes to get tangled up, requiring my going outside and untangling them in the cold water. After reading some of the reviews that detail how these clips should be placed on the hose (strategically placed in the twisting portion of the hose and pretty close to the floaters on the hose), these clips kept my hose from getting tangled up last winter. After the water warmed up this spring, I removed the clips and put them away for use next winter.

Two years and still working, no breaks. I ordered these twice. They help keep the hose straight, but in winter when water is cold, still tangles but just not as much.

I found these back in Oct 2021 after having to untangle my pool sweep on at least a daily basis. I ordered two set of 10 and used most of them on the sweep tubing. More per 20' than the 8 per recommended.Also important was to avoid placing these where the tubing had no choice but to be bent in a tight angle - usually those were the very short spans between the floats. If you put these in those locations in the tubing, one end of the clip will generally come off.I'm ordering again, it's Jul 2024 now, and the only reason is that the chlorine (even in a salt system) gradually breaks down the strength of the plastic and the clip will usually be the first to go. Once that happens - have a spare.I read review for this purchase that say the tangling still occurs but I've not experienced any of that in the almost 3 years I've had my first set - but every situation is different.

Put these on hose this morning and ran Polaris for 4 hrs. No tangling at all. Prior to using these, the cleaner hose would completely tangle within 10 mins after startup.

For some reason this year the Polaris line would keep getting tangled. I found these on some website and lurched them here. They really worked. Very rare we get a tangle now. Did have to mess with floats a bit, but was very easy.

Product page is misleading, needs to state the clips fit NO hoses >1" diameter. Then, under Product Description, it wrongly states the clips fit Polaris 360. It does NOT fit Polaris 360 sold in the last 7? years, bc they have the 1 1/4" vacuum cleaner-style hose -- too large for the clips to fit.

I previously purchased these and they worked poorly. The cleaner hose continued to become a pretzel and over time the clips stretched out and fell off. Recently I purchased again and tried another approach to attach the clips. Starting about three feet out from the wall attachment place the clips in between the floats. I believe the secret is to bring the floats up tight against the clips so there is NO space in between them. When there is a space that becomes a twist point. At the area where the twist always occurred I placed only one clip tightly between the floats. Further out toward the cleaner I have as many as three clips between the floats. Keep doing that until one is several feet past the twist points. Having done that, during several weeks of below freezing temperatures the hose never twisted and the cleaner moves around the pool effortlessly.Now months after attaching and having gone through the winter with freezing temperatures the cleaner hose has NOT TWISTED even once!!! These clips are great BUT MUST BE ATTACHED CORRECTLY.

This product certainly reduces tangles and knots in our Polaris. But, it does not entirely prevent tangles and knots, at least not in weather (water around 55 - 60 F). It is easy to install, easy to adjust (which you will probably need to do at least once), and clearly allows the Polaris to run 3 - 4 times as long before it gets knotted. I recommend it, and would replace these clips if they needed it. We keep the pool open all year, so when the cold water makes the Polaris hose stiff, and I am not sure any product can address that problem.
