Bought this for my 2009 Honda civic Lx and it didn’t work. Not only did the light not go away but the o2 sensor didn’t end up coming out when I bought the replacement. This part is an utter complete waste of money and time don’t buy it just cuz it’s cheap it’s going to be worse

After installing new Mikoda catalytic converter, engine light came on P0420 code signals a low catalyst system efficiency. Used soapy water to find leak. Was leaking at header gasket, bottom gasket, and both O2 sensors. Took it apart and put the old gasket on, still leaked at exhuast manifold and o2 sensors. Bought an new fel pro exhaust gasket but stripped the o2 sensor. Going to buy a new catalytic converter and o2 sensor. Not going to buy a Mikoda Catalytic converter, try a different brand this time. I purchased this catalytic converter for my vehicle with high hopes of resolving an ongoing engine light issue. Unfortunately, even after installation, the engine light has refused to disappear, leaving me thoroughly frustrated and dissatisfied.The installation process itself wasn't too challenging, and the product seemed to fit properly. However, it failed to deliver on its primary purpose – fixing my engine light problem. I followed the instructions diligently and double-checked the connections, but the issue persists.I had expected this catalytic converter to do the job it was designed for, but it seems to have fallen short in terms of effectiveness. I've had no choice but to take my vehicle to a professional mechanic to address the ongoing issue, which has resulted in additional time and expenses.Overall, I cannot recommend this catalytic converter if you're seeking a solution to an engine light problem. It's disappointing when a product doesn't live up to its claims, and this one certainly falls into that category. Look for alternative options that may provide more reliable results.

After installing this produce on my 2008 Honda civic DX, I installed my old O2 sensors until the new ones arrived… once the new ones arrived, I tried to remove the downstream O2 sensor from the new catalytic converter, but I found that it was now seized inside the catalytic converter. The heat and exhaust from The cat had melted the O2 sensor into it.

Says it fits my vehicle but it has a valve on it my old one didn't. And because my car doesn't run on gas I don't need the valve.
