Even though the blink camera specifies to use Lithium batteries this item comes with alkaline batteries(energizer Max.). I know if you use regular alkaline batteries they will be dead within a month. In product description it says Lithium. Very misleading. I will try it with lithium batteries that I have to see if it will last.

Do not buy! Delivered May 4th, put up same day. Today is May 12th. The cover did nothing to protect my cameras from rain. Both have water damage and no longer work. Since I bought my cameras when they were not on sale, I am out $150 and the approx. $31 I spent on these. Unacceptable. Do NOT buy these.

This is a must for those cameras that are out of reach or that you want extra peace of mind that your power will not be interrupted! The installation was a little confusing for me at first because I thought that you left batteries in the original Blink camera and then added this to the camera. This extension pack is loaded with batteries and then installed into the empty Blink camera, snapping into the battery compartment. I love that a silicone skin is included because there is a seam that may or may not be sealed where the 2 pieces connect, and this is likely to be an outdoor camera. My only complaint about this is the batteries. The description indicates that it included 4 lithium batteries, but 4 alkaline batteries came with my unit. Also, Blink cameras are labeled that you must use lithium batteries only; the instructions for this extension pack indicate that you must use alkaline batteries only. Considering that this is for outdoor use where temperatures fluctuate, lithium batteries will stand up better. I have the alkaline batteries in it for now, but plan to switch to lithium batteries as soon as they need changed. I hope that they type of battery actually doesn't matter because I don't want to damage either the camera or the extension pack.

Batteries that came with it are junk. Use 4 energizer lithium ions - and it's great.

THIS PRODUCT SUCKS! THEY CLAIM ITS COMPATIBLE WITH BLINK AND ITS NOT COMPATIBLE! IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE USED PROPERLY YOU NEED TO SCAN IT AND SET IT UP WITH THE BLINK APP AND THEY DONT EVEN HAVE NO SERIAL NUMBERS OR QR CODES TO SCAN IN HAVE IT WORK WITH BLINK. It’s just a battery pack that makes your camera go crazy and keep shutting it off. NOT TO MENTION, MY $100 GOT WATER DAMAGE BECAUSE WATER LEAKED THROUGH THE FAKE/CHEAP MATERIAL. I ended up going with the BLINK BRAND and it works 1000% better.
