After plugging this into my Xbox One S Controller, it does nothing. The Xbox One menu doesn't allow for enabling chat. Ended up getting a Xbox One Kinect on Ebay and it now works with chat without a headset.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but they were very small, so we kept losing them and also since they plug into the controller, you could hear every little sound from people moving around holding the controller.

I got these as a solution to my set up cause the mic I had was intrusive and didn't want to use a lapel mic to avoid tangle nor did I want to spend the money on a wireless set up.This was a clean ,affordable and easy solution to all that. They work just as fine as any budget mic without audio tweaks ,enough that your squad hears you clearly on the ps4.Just beware that it will pick up any other sound around since its omni directional. It'll pick up the TV and everyday noise. If your using this with with console in mind I recommend getting a USB bluetooth dongle so you can use headphones for audio to avoid interference.
