This dock is well-suited for professionals who require a reliable, high-performance docking solution for dual-monitor setups, such as graphic designers, video editors, or business users working from home or office environments. The Thunderbolt 3 interface ensures fast and stable connections, while the power delivery supports continuous laptop operation without the need for separate chargers. This bundle includes the dock itself, a 230W power adapter, a DisplayPort cable, and a microfiber cleaning cloth, providing a comprehensive setup for a streamlined workspace. Multiple ports, including USB-C, USB-A, DisplayPort, and Ethernet, allow for versatile device connections, reducing cable clutter.

I got the HP 3TR87AA Thunderbolt dock to use with my work laptop -- an Elitebook 865 G11. It's technically overkill in terms of power supply and underkill in terms of Thunderbolt version (the dock's eMarker reports that it's only Thunderbolt 3, while HP's specs say the 865 G11 is Thunderbolt 4), but it works for what I need it for. Here's how I presently have everything wired up:* Dock's attached USB-c connector (carrying USB, PD-power, and DisplayPort Alt-Mode (DPAM)).* One of the dock's DisplayPort ports is connected to my KVM (and ultimately, my main 4k60 monitor)* One of the dock's USB-C ports to a USB-C switch that allows me to share my portable 4k60 monitor between two laptops (this one, and a Macbook Pro). It's obviously carrying DPAM.* USB #1 is connected to the KVM* USB #2 is connected to the webcamWhen I FIRST set it up, I got a little concerned, because it took a while for my portable monitor to negotiate its connection to the laptop (through the USB-C switch and dock)... but I've used USB-C DPAM enough times with that monitor to know that for some unknown reason, first-time USB-C DPAM connections to/through a new device or cable are ALWAYS flaky. Then, after a disurbingly long period of time (that's about twice as long as it takes to give up hope it'll work), it just suddenly figures everything out and works thereafter. Sometimes, I really miss the "old days" when something either worked or didn't work INSTANTLY, vs stringing you along like Schroedinger's Cat for several minutes... not sure whether the connection is alive, dead, or both simultaneously. In my case, I have no use for the barrel-plug charging cable... but its connection to the attached USB-C cable is magnetic, so I was able to easily separate them and just ignore the barrel plug. One observation: going by HP's documentation, it appears that only the left USB-C port on the dock is MST-capable. HOWEVER, this doesn't seem to prevent the usb-C port on the RIGHT from being able to carry at least single-stream 4k60 DPAM video as well.Surprisingly, the dock's eMarker reports the dock (or at least, its cable) as being NOT certified (by virtue of CertStat=0x00000000). I'm not sure whether this is because HP didn't BOTHER to seek certification (having decided on its own that it's "good enough"), or because certification applies only to the cable itself (and, with a captive cable, becomes theoretically unnecessary since the manufacturer has presumably satisfied itself that the captive cable is good enough). The dock's listing doesn't mention it, but the top of the dock is actually a pushbutton... tapping it is equivalent to typing win-L (to lock the computer).I initially panicked when I looked at the official documentation for the dock, because it mentions having to approve Tunderbolt connectivity as an Administrator. I'm not sure whether that applies only to Windows 10 (and NOT Windows 11), or whether my company's IT department already pre-approved the use of Thunderbolt docks... but I personally was never asked to approve the connection, and it worked fine... which is good, because I'm not sure that I could have GOTTEN the IT department to approve it if it hadn't been.

Note that this is not an HP product. It mentions HP in the title, and it has a HP on the cover, but it is not HP.One could argue that it doesn't claim to be an actual HP product, and yes the Koncept brand is prominently featured in the ad, but it left me confused. That said, it does everything it promised to do. Appears well made, and allows multiple family members with different computer models to plug into our monitor and speaker system.Great Product!

We use a thunderbolt connection for our work computers and sometimes travel and work on the go. We go this as a second charger to leave at our summer getaway so we did not need to keep transporting the thunderbolt connector. This one works just as good as the one we were supplied with from work. Very good price compared to others. Works well.

This thing is MASSIVE. My husband ordered it to see if would work for his gaming laptop, and it did!The thing weighs quite a bit- it's definitely not light. Otherwise, it works very well and my husband said it was exactly what he needed.

I love this dock. I got a couple of the really cheap ones that does not really help in pushing more than 1 monitor so when I saw this in the Vine program I had to snatch it. I believe this one is either used or refurbed because it didn't come in an HP box and no protective films or anything (no scratches or anything) but that's ok because the brand new ones can cost quite a bit compared to this one. Very happy with it.
