They come unassembled but that's easy to fix and they go together really well.The base is small and fairly lightweight. It's got some sort of small plate covered in plastic. Will work great on a desk due to the small footprint. However, it's not enough to support a boom on the stand.The upper part screws in easily into the base. It's about 5 inches tall and extends about 4 inches. The knob that tightens up the extension is also plastic turning a metal bolt.As a desk top mic stand they'll work great and they might even work great for a kick drum mic or a short stand to mic a guitar amp. I'm not sure how well they're going to stand up to being moved around a lot due to the plastic parts.These stands also come with a cell phone holder that screws to the stand. The holder spreads out wide enough for most cell phones but are not big enough for a table. They work well but are also made of a lot of plastic. Even the part that threads onto the mic stand is plastic which would make them prone to stripping if they get cross threaded.About average for the price and great for a blogger or small events where you need a short stand. I don't think they would stand up to the abuse of being moved around a lot but for a small home set up they would work fairly well.
