Amazing value and these guys work GREAT! I have been trying to make even seams with a piece of washi tape as my guide, but my seams still turn out wobbly. My grandma has one of these and it works awesome, so I am stoked to upgrade my sewing setup with it!

I’ve been sewing since I first ran a sewing machine needle into my finger at the age of four, which was more decades ago than I like to admit, and no, I was not supposed to be using my mother’s cherished Singer at the time. Since that time, every machine I’ve sewn on has had a piece of masking tape marking 5/8” from the seam line. Despite my years of practice and many many pieces of masking tape, I still don’t always sew a perfectly straight line. These little magnetic gadgets are a game changer. Not only can you position them at a wide variety of exotic seam allowances such as 1/4”, 1/8”, and even *gasp* metric measurements, they don’t let you go over your set measurement, or at least not if you’re paying attention at all. As long as your fabric is lying flat and is against the edge of the magnetic guide, you’re good to go. I’ve seen references to these guides as “for beginners,” but I would say “for non-professionals and anyone whose attention might occasionally wander.” Since these guides are, as our British friends might say, “cheap as chips,” I think it’s well worth having one or two on hand. (“On hand” in the sewing context meaning “in a repurposed Danish butter cookies tin,” or am I the only one who still does that?)

I like the colors that are made well. I enjoy that they secure with a magnet. This helps out alot. As i am fairly new to the world of sewing it helps guide me with staying straight. Nice aid for my beginner butt. I recommend.

These are easy to use. I like the variety of colors. The magnets are strong enough to hold their place on the machine. They are decent quality and a decent price.

This is something that seems so simple, yet was such a great help for my mom. She was struggling to guide her fabric due to having tremors and using these were nice because it helped hold her fabric in place and was easy to adjust.
