Great build quality and the wood looks awesome. Fits perfectly and feels way better than the plastic one that comes with the machine. Functions as expected and doesn't leak at all. Great upgrade for an already great machine.

Edit May 2025: Unfortunately I have to update my review after having some more time with the basket. I really did think that it was good at first, which just goes to show how much wishful thinking can cloud judgement. We've been having a really bad time with bitter shots, a lot of difficulty dialing in the grind (adjustments aren't giving consistent results), and maybe the worst has been spraying and spurting out of the bottom of the basket (not around the top of the portafilter where it seals to the group head), which makes a horrible mess on the machine and around the area. We thought that the new machine was to blame, and were about to give up on our Rancilio Silvia, when we tried the original Rancilio basket and voila: all the issues went away. Shot came out balanced, pull time actually corresponded to the grind, and no spraying. So despite my initial enthusiasm, I have to say that these baskets are horrible. I actually have two of them, because we ordered two of these portafilters, and they both have the exact same problems.The portafilter is still nice, but the baskets are junk.Original review:I made a mistake and ordered this for my Rancilio Silvia (don't do that), so I wasn't able to verify the fit. However, I can tell you that the rosewood handle is excellent, in both appearance and feel. I actually liked it so much that I unscrewed the handle from this portafilter and screwed it into one of my other portafilters that does fit my Silvia.I also really like the portafilter basket, which seems to be outperforming the stock basket that came with my Rancilio portafilter. The baskets are different shapes and sizes, so I'm not comparing apples to apples here, but I have also used a 51mm IMS competition basket on another machine for a few years, and in the scheme of things I am very pleased with the performance of this Knodos basket. Again, I like this basket enough that I am keeping the basket and using it to replace a "high extraction" basket with which I haven't had a lot of success.If you have a Gaggia Classic Pro then this could very well be a perfect portafilter for you. It checks all the boxes, and I expect that it fits the Gaggia perfectly.

5 months in, and this has proven to be a very pleasing to use and high quality portafilter. The included basket is quite good, and brews/extracts almost the same as my IMS Barista Pro basket. I wish I had knows this before I bought the Barista Pro. One has reported the basket not fitting tight enough, but that wasn't my experience. As with any product, if you aren't satisfied, return it, but this has been well worth the money and I'm very pleased with it.

Nicely constructed by the basket wants to pop out into the garbage when tapping to release the puck. Kind of annoying. Otherwise, fits my Gaggia perfectly, and i can easily do 22g of espresso for a 44-47g extraction

I wanted to replace my gaggia classic pro spouted portafilter and this one has a wonderful wood handle and nice finish, it allows me to see my shot so i can identify issues quickly, plus it makes for a great aesthetic upgrade for my machine. The wooden handle can be unscrewed though I don't yet find a use for that it's good to know i can possibly replace it for another handle i imagine.Definitely recommend this

Has a nice weight to it and love the walnut, the handle is very high quality and appears to be machined stainless steel, the walnut handle is a great color and matches the rest of my walnut accessories. It is not like the Rosy Pink color like other handles!

Absolutely love the way it looks, and fits the Gaggia Classic Pro well. Only gripe is that it’s not very strongly magnetic, so the dosing funnel doesn’t stick very well. Minor gripe though, I love the shape of the handle and the quality of the wood is super nice.Editing review and increasing to 5 stars after having used this for a few weeks, because the basket it comes with is actually surprisingly great quality. I've tried the stock Gaggia basket and two IMS Nanotech baskets, and for whatever reason I make my best coffee with the basket this came with!
