I needed to replace broken spring on an older B&S engine. It was MUCH SIMPLER to just replace complete starter assembly than to go to local dealer to buy just a replacement spring. I replaced the complete starter is less time than it would have taken to go to dealer, plus my local dealer can be a pain to deal with. Because old starter was pop riveted in place, it took about 30 minutes to drill out old rivets and add new ones. Pressure washer is up and running again-yeah!
