I sew a lot and I currently use a magnetic seam guide, but it's a little flimsy and has a tendency to move around, especially when working with heavier fabrics. This seam guide is quite the opposite. The magnet is SO strong that once it's in place, it's not going anywhere. Now, granted, that makes it a little harder to take off and reposition, which is why I knocked off a star. The seam ripper function is pretty handy, too. Overall, a great little sewing tool that does its job.
