My original Pentair door flap broke a long time ago. This replacement door flap works as described! The installation was effortless; press-fit the door into the nubs upside-down, then rotate the door flap over the water flow and towards the skimmer basket to lock it in place. After that, the water flow suction is so strong!Overall, I would recommend this door flap for 20+ years old Pentair skimmers!

Fits right in. Build quality is good. Plastic damper is a great addition -- my old one needed to be replaced. Just make sure that your skimmer is of correct size -- these flappers are coming in different sizes.

It would not stay up and keeps falling flat. The cut on latches is reversed for my application. The bulging side of this weir is supposed to face to the pool and flat side to the skimmer. The cut is facing the bulging side. Yet the weir is supposed to tilt toward skimmer basket. Unless you have taller skimmer opening, you would not be able to latch the hook onto the male holders.
