One of the 8 cells was bad. I tried charging all of the cells when I got them and the charger said one was fully charged. I measured it with a voltmeter and it had 0.0 volts and 0.0 mA. It was an open circuit. The other cells were normal but I lost confidence and decided to return them for a refund.

Loved the charger, the batteries were easy to charge and they just worked perfectly even at low temperatures (32 -27 degrees F) for devices outside my home.

Comes with 8 AA batteries, we use four batteries for candles in living room and still have 4 left in charging, so I can cycle them in and out! Charger and batteries perform great as described.
