I ordered this replacement trimmer string set for my Ryobi One+ model P2003 trimmer. The string cartridges fit fine, and worked flawlessly right out of the box. The included cover plate also fit on my trimmer, although it wasn't quite as easy to snap on or take off than my original, but once it was in place, it was fine. I don't think the replacement cover piece is made of the exact same type of plastic as the original, so it's a little less flexible, but the fit and function were good so I have no problem recommending this to others.

These are similar to others I have bought in the past from Amazon and other places. They fit into my Ryobi and advance in the same manor as the originals do. However, the mechanism to feed out string is set to deliver about twice the length with each switch on and off, resulting in using up the string faster if you turn the trimmer on and off frequently. I usually break off the string before shutting the unit off so not an issue. The string is the same as the string I normally use. These are far less expensive than the Ryobi brand. They can be reused by buying string in bulk and winding your own, but it is kind of a pain to do it especially at this price point.

I have a ryobi one+ weed wacker that runs on the smaller batteries. These are an easy, drop in spool replacement for the weed wacker line. As for the material, it seems very similar to the OEM line and works just fine wacking around; however, it's not yet the season for thick weeds or grass in corners so we'll have to see how it holds up compared to OEM. Overall, it's a great replacement for the value!

While these trimmer heads fit my Ryobi and function similarly to other aftermarket options in terms of line advancement, they dispense roughly twice as much line per bump. This increased line feed leads to faster string consumption, especially if you frequently start and stop. I've found breaking off the excess string before shutting off the trimmer helps mitigate this. The string gauge is standard, and the significantly lower price point compared to official Ryobi heads is a major selling point. While rewinding these heads is possible, the effort involved makes it more worthwhile to stick with Ryobi-branded string.

The string on this product works fine. I took out my Ryobi branded spool and installed this one with no issue. I ran the unit to auto dispense string and it did so properly. I don't have any concerns with this portion of the product. With the string out, I tried to install the new replacement cap. It was very (very) tight to install but it did click in place. Removal was even more difficult as it was so tight I couldn't get any movement on it. I ended up getting a small flat screw driver between the cap and the housing and worked each side independently to disconnect it. While the product itself is a good value, I wouldn't want to mess with this cap and including something that doesn't match the OEM part really adds no value. The Ryobi string is braided and these are not. Given you get six of them, even if they were only able to last half as long this is still a good value.Summary - string seems fine, installs without issue, and that part seems well made. The cap fits. You have to force it in place and it is even more difficult to remove. On a hot day where you want to be done with yard work, having to fight the trimmer cap (and possibly cut your hand, or damage the trimmer) is not something I personally want to deal with. Perhaps in a pinch I would use that cap (if my other one broke), but that is probably just until I could get a proper replacement. It is sort of a throw in item, but I don't feel it really adds additional value.
