I have different guides for my saw, but they all are long and and designed for plywood sheets..etc. Other than the thin metal guide that comes with most circular saws, I didn't h a ve one for my everyday use smaller cuts. Now I do, this is such a simple guide. It it cuts square and does an excellent job. It fits virtually all circular saws and other saws that can use a guide. A definite recommendation. It clearly states it is for saws with plates 4-6 inches long. I just failed to go measure my saws as I was away from home. My smallest saw ,a dremel,has a plate that is too narrow. My other 3 measure at least 8.5Inches. The other problem is that when one opens up the clamping screw the small screw threaded into it’sEnd unscrews . One must retighten it or risk loosing it in the grass or wherever it falls.. you can chop the tool in half and screw a splicing plate to it’s bottom to make it usable and thread lock the small screw to resolve these issues.

I recently caught the DIY bug. Most of it revolves around my Jeep and car audio, but that has branched me into woodworking as well. Subwoofer boxes are generally made from wood, so I learned some skills to make the box I wanted. My lady and I started flipping furniture, so we're always looking for good tools to help make that task easier. When I saw this I had to try it.It arrived in a plain box and contains the clamp.This is a clever design! This little base allows you to cut straight, narrow cuts using your circular saw. It works just as intended. It's fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. I'll be using this to cut the frame out for the speaker box project I just started.Overall I'm happy with this guide and look forward to using it in future projects.
