These are good quality and make a great backup to my regular reeds. The sizing is pretty spot on and they are comfortable to use.

My son just started learning the saxophone, and we wanted reeds that were easy to play but still offered decent tone quality. These reeds are exactly what we needed! They respond well and don't require too much effort to produce sound, which has helped build his confidence. None were warped or chipped. Each reed came individually wrapped, which helps keep them protected and clean. Great value for the price, and they’ve made learning the saxophone a much smoother experience for my son!

Look, if you think you're going to get concert quality reeds at this price, we need to talk. But if you want a bunch of reeds that are perfectly serviceable for practice or a new player, these are pretty good. Plus they come with individual covers. They will be great for beginning sax players at my child's school.

I bought this for my son who is in his first year of band as an alto saxophone player. Since he is new to playing the sax, he can't speak to much except the quality of this product in comparison to the first set of reeds we bought at a music store. He recently switched to this new size as he improves. The reeds come nicely packed in a case for him to put inside his instrument case. He says they seem to feel good and work well. It is too early to speak to long-term durability (he has been using for a week in band class), however, I'm not sure we know how long a good quality one will last. Overall, a good value for replacement reeds - especially as he is progressing in his play.

These are okay for the money, but seem a little stiffer than a 2.5 to me. Still, if you need some backup reeds, these could work!

I looked at a couple of characteristics of this set of alto reeds with the recognition that organic cane products like these are naturally going to have some variability. All the reeds in this set have relatively poor consistency and shape in the vamp. I attempted to shave one to get an improvement, which I did, but not willing to put in the time and patience to get a nice darker heart and thinner sides to resemble a mountain that would be ideal. I checked the heel of several and only found one of the 5 to have fairly uniform shape. The others had uneven thickness in the stock with one side thicker than the other. All that said, these reeds would be fine for a beginner or intermediate player who wanted to save some money and use these for practice. If you have the time to shave them a bit (without damaging the tips as I did) they can be improved.

These reeds are about half the price of Rico’s and plays okay. These would be good for practice or personal playing, especially for beginners. No difficulty in starting use if your embouchure is already “in shape”. Good discount reeds.
