The item is called American Standard M962544-0020A Stopper "Kit"The instruction leaflet enclosed with the packet also mentions "Kit" and refers to a Cam that is supposed to be included in the "Kit". However, the package I received did nto contain the Cam and so it is of no use to me as the Cam in my original Stopper is broken. (See attached docs for details.)

Had to modify this to make it fit. The lower part is too wide, needed some work with a file to make it work.

I have 2 matching American Standard sinks/faucets in my master bath. When one drain stopper broke, I didn't want to get a generic that may not match or fit properly with my quick connect drain. This works and fits the same as the original.

Smaller than my standard bathroom sink drain. It fell into the drain. My husband had to take the plumbing apart to get this out. He was pissed and I felt so stupid that I bought this and trusted it would work as a replacement. Returned! One star only because there are no zero or minus stars!

This sits slightly higher than the original I replaced (I found that out from reading one of the other reviews), Which was perfect for me, because I needed to sit higher so that more water would would go down and the sink would drain faster.

I compared to original and it was close but IMO not close enough. I returned it to amazon with no issues and used their link to contact American Standard where I found the customer service to be excellent. I was pleased with the transaction since the customers needs were met by both companies.

A bit longer than I expected, so I have to push down to seal the water from draining

I purchased based on type and description which matches the manual to my faucet, but it's to short and won't reach the cam, I had to call manufacturer to get right part numberWhich by the way if your faucet model is 7034F, the the correct part # is M962543-0020A

I had an American Standard drain stopper whose seal had gotten loose and fallen off. It was really only that seal I needed, but I apparently I have to buy the whole stopper (hence taking away one star). My stopper was a bit different, but there were no dimensions given, so I took a chance. The critical dimension is the 1 7/32 inch inside diameter of the drain opening, which is where the seal contacts. The other significant dimension is the distance from the underside of the stopper down to the shoulder that rests on the lifting lever, which is 3 3/16 inch on this stopper (see the photo). It was only 3 1/16 on my old one, but this still works. On this part, like the original, the circular part is chrome plated metal, and the rest is plastic.By the way, the stopper can be assembled in two ways. In a commercial setting, you can orient it with the locking loop away from you (and "American Standard" reading right side up). That requires partly disassembling the actuating lever. It keeps people from walking away with the stopper, but it makes it much more awkward to clean. I just dropped it in, with the locking loop toward me (and "American Standard" reading upside down). That way, I can easily lift it out for cleaning. (I guess I could also remove the locking loop, so I could drop it in either way.)

tricky connecting it, but once it was, it did the job
