I ordered this product and thought it was defective. It turned out to be this part does not have the gear reversing mechanism that changes the direction of the tach cable so it was reading 0. Turning backwards. I resolved it by hacking it up and putting the old gear drive in the new bezel. Too much work. Not sure if this would be an issue on a Ford 3600 gas model if they made them, but it does on the diesel. Otherwise appears to be a good product for the price and most of the tractors on the list might not need to be reversed. ARKO TRACTOR did reach out to try to resolve it.

I received this item and haven't had time to truly use it or test it. I installed it on my 1972 Ford 4400 tractor before the holiday and then left for Christmas. When I returned on 1/1/24 I was excited to finally use the tractor and have my gauges. I was disappointed to see that the head unit was cloudy and had condensation and water inside. I do not know if this is the cause but I also do not have a working backlight on the panel. Once the sunlight begins to fade I can not see the panel anymore. I had also noticed that my fuel gauge was reading empty which I knew was false as I had just filled the tank and when I bumped the panel housing the gauge flicked and was showing correctly but then dropped shortly after. I have the rubber gasket that is utilized with this unit but I believe it is grounding out on the housing and causing it to miss read. I believe this because when I hold the unit out of the housing/cowl the fuel gauge works and is accurate but when I place it back in it drops to empty.

The gauges worked as expected. Did not give 5 stars because the unit is NOT weather proof. If there is a chance it could be exposed to rain or snow you will need to seal it yourself.
