Doesn’t work that great at all. Minimal change noticed after sharpening on a few different blades.

Only thing that you can improve is not using a plastic base. Maybe something like metal? Could use improvements but still overall best one among many others.

Does sharpen, just takes some time.

Cheap and works well enough. Grinding stone doesn’t do well with non-flat or mulching blades, best for perfectly flat classic blades. Good for people who don’t have room for a good bench grinder. This setup cannot compare to the quality edge that a bench grinder provides but it will work. The leveler works well enough to give me confidence when I’m ready to install the blade that it won’t try to take off like an ornithopter.

Only works on a straight mower blade - it's no use on a curved blade (e.g. cutting/mulching blade).

Used this product and a file to resharpen my mower blade after a hitting a rock that my kids thoughtfully put in the yard as a surprise for me. Used the file for the major stuff and this sharpener kit to finish it off. Having the balancer was a nice bonus to ensure I didn't cause any issues to the mower.

As others mentioned the sharpening wheel does bounce around a bit. I found the wheel would bounce more the faster the drill turned. Low to mid RPMs allowed the most control which yielded great results. With lower RPMs I could actually feel and see the stone remove the material from the blade. The balancing tool is ok and it gets the job done. I thought it was good value for the price.

The balance works well to quickly balance blades, it's pretty cheap and does better tha the old " nail in a wall stud" trick. At least it doesn't mean I have a nail sticking out of the wall and I can balance most blades quickly.

A good inexpensive way to sharpen a mower blade. The balancer works great to ensure the blade is not out of balance. Can be hard to control the drill when using, but with some practice, it did a good job.

It is amazing how a perfectly sharpened and balanced lawnmower blade works.Even brand new blades should be checked.

Its Easy to use and works. I would caution to watch the plastic side while sharpening as it strips quickly and easily.

Sharpened a blade that has never been sharpened before. The blade is about 4 years old and sharpened with ease. I didn't use the gap between the plastic piece until i was putting the final edge on it, just because I read reviews saying it warped or broke easily. I've used it to sharpen all my other tools and still works just as it did new.1)Once you get your blade off (spend the $10 and get a removal tool, it holds the blade in place and won't damage it) use a wire brush to scrub off any caked on dirt. Be sure to mark the top of the blade!2)Using a piece of wood to prop the blade up (I did this sitting in the floor).3)Spinning in the direction that works best for you, let the tool do all the work using to top of the grinder (to preserve to plastic guard).4)Once you have it close to your ideal sharpness, go ahead and check the balance (that way as you finetune your edge you know how much more you can take).5)Using the bottom side of the grinder, finish your edge. I shouldn't have to add this, but some people will try and use this part in the curves and break the plastic only to complain that it's junk and it's a waste of money. For bends in the blade just sharpen it the best you can with the top of the grinder, a file or Smith's 50119 Mower Blade Sharpener. The beauty is you don't need an expensive drill, just 2 batteries or time to charge one. This is perfect if you need to put an edge on a dull blade. I will definitely buy more.
