I ordered these adapters to that I can attach my pool hose to a leaf collector in my pool vacuum setup. The adapters are basic, and the plastic material feels durable and solid.However, the narrow end of the adapter is narrower than I need. While the outer dimension of the narrow ends is 3.2 cm (about 1 1/4 inches), the inner diameter is about to 2.8 cm (just under 1 1/8 inches).As a result, I am unable to use this adapter in my pool vacuum setup because the narrow inner diameter creates a choke point where leaves and debris get caught and quickly jam up the hose.

Just what I was looking for. I need to extend out 1-1/4 sump hose away from the house and couldn't find anything that fit the hose well. These were perfect and allowed me to add two additional hoses

Not a ton to say about these except that they do what they say they'll do. I have an inground pool and wanted to link together two vacuum hoses. I wasn't sure what size they were, so this product seemed like a good choice since it will hook together the two most common sizes. Turns out my hoses are 1 1/2", so they fit onto the larger, inner-most flanges of the connectors. They seem sized right -- you have to push and twist the hose a bit to get them to slide together, which keeps them from just separating unless you want them to come apart. Solid product.

I am rating this a 3, not because it is a good or bad product, it just did not work out for me but I am using it in a non-traditional way. In this case 3 means neutral and has nothing to do with the quality as I can't really rate it for its intended purpose. I do not even know if it is quite fair to rate it at all, but why do the measurements I need never work out? So close, but does not work.Let me explain: I am looking for vacuum attachments connectors, can find none that work. I know it seems like I am reviewing the wrong product, but I am not....stick with me. My need for the vacuum cleaner is one end is a little more than 1 1/2 inches as the attachment has to slide in it and yet fit the 1 1/4 inches attachment. I saw these and thought the measurements sound right, I will give it a try but I had much the same problem, the almost fit but not enough to work out. If I had something to cut the edging off the 1/4 inch part it would fit those attachments but I do not not, and maybe if I put a little pipe tape to make the 1/2 inch a tad smaller, it might fit. Whether a hose attachment for a pool hose or a vacuum attachment, I do not understand when I am trying to connect a 1 1/4 inch to a 1/2 vacuum hose why the connectors, whether for a pool hose or a vacuum hose/attachment do not seem to work on this vacuum.As for the pool hose connector it seem sturdy, in fact to sturdy to cut as I have nothing in my apartment to go through it. I understand though you may not want to cut the pool hose attachment if using in a pool.

I converted my above ground pool to a nice sand filter. This adapter allows me to use the sand pump to vacuum the pool. 10/10 will buy another if needed!
