Your cart is empty.This Vac Lock is a safety mechanism designed with a spring action cover to hold the hose in place and to close the suction fitting automatically when not in use. It holds the pool cleaner hose in place when installed to a in-wall dedicated suction line. It closes the suction line when the cleaner is not in use. It is recommended for all pools with a dedicated suction line. A dedicated suction line is a pipe that runs from the equipment area to the pool to deliver suction to the cleaner.

This fitting has no taper (as most fittings have) to hold the hose in place by friction. They are designed to have a tab built in to the cap insert into the ridges on the hose to keep it in place when there is no suction. Problem is the spring is not strong enough and eventually the hose just comes loose to float away.Another problem is the plastic for the cap is really weak. The cap breaks off if you are not careful to put NO pressure on the cap when holding it open to insert the hose. Finally, another symptom caused by the weak spring is the cap "chatters" when not using the hose and the pool pump is running. You can hear the noise underwater and outside of the pool.I'm past the 30 day return period so I've wasted $20.00. Buyer beware!

This fits my outlet perfectly but opening the door is tricky. You really have to use your fingernails to get open. It should have something on the cap to easily grip to open. Other than that I’m pleased with the fit and love the color
