Haven't had any opportunities to utilize this, but it is made WELL. Super sturdy. I don't doubt its capabilities. We've got it on our Bobcat UTV, so I am sure it will get use soon and I can come back with an update!

This hitch has a 2” solid shank that comes with a forged 2” ball and a split shackle. You don’t need to disassemble the shackle to hook up a tow strap or kinetic rope, just split the halves and thread your recovery device in. This comes with a locking hitch pin to keep it secure and there are two holes in the main shank to match your receiver.

Received this hitch today and was very impressed by its sturdy appearance and quality fabrication. However, all that went away when I attempted to install it on my stock 2016 Toyota Tundra with optional towing package. When I inserted the hitch into the receiver mounted on my Tundra, I noticed it seemed a little bit of a sloppy fit. So, I pulled out the digital calipers and measured my old hitch across the faces of the square tube: they measured ~2.09" whereas the Autobots hitch surfaces measured ~1.95". Okay (so I thought) and I proceeded to affix the hitch using the new "anti-theft" locking pin. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get it to lock. It appears the distance allowed for locking is narrower than the width of the hitch receiver housing on my truck. So I measured the distance across my housing compared to the distance allowed by the new pin when locked: ~2.96" width on my receiver housing where the pin is inserted; ~2.85" maximum width allowed by the new pin when locked. Obviously this is an issue. Then I began thinking of what else might be off and I proceeded to measure across the newly manufactured 2" ball included. My old hitch ball measured ~1.977" after many years of use; the new 2" ball measured ~1.958" brand spanking new with zero use. Wow! That was an eye-opener. I stopped measuring at that point. If this hitch will not fit a fairly standard truck, set up with the optional towing package as delivered from the dealer, then I cannot recommend wasting your time and trying to make it fit. This hitch was most likely designed for a lighter duty 1-7/8" ball, not the 2" ball as advertised. Not recommended.

This hutch looks so much better on the back of my truck than the regular one did. Gave my truck a nice air of off-road worthiness. I really like that it came with a good quality locking hitch pin, that way no one will walk away with my new hitch!

Heavy duty and attractiveI drive a SUV and it performs double duty. I pull a trailer, pull implements that do not have hitches. I can see how this could be used for recovery purposes.

I haven’t yanked a tank out of a ditch with this thing (yet), but the AUTOBOTS Trailer Hitch Ball Mount sure looks like it could! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this beast means business. This hitch is a triple-threat: tough, versatile, and just a little over-engineered—in the best way possible. It comes with a 3/4" split shackle for easy recovery setups, a corrosion-resistant 2-inch ball, and a universal fit that popped right into my SUV’s hitch like it was meant to be there. Whether you're towing, rescuing your buddy’s stuck truck, or just flexing in the Home Depot parking lot, this mount is ready.Highlights:✔️ Rugged, tank-like design✔️ Electrically galvanized and powder-coated = weatherproof beast✔️ Anti-theft hitch lock? Yes, please!✔️ Ridiculous strength ratings that scream “go ahead, try me”Verdict? For SUV owners like me who want gear that works hard and looks mean doing it—this one’s a no-brainer. It's like strapping Optimus Prime to your bumper.

Looks great and appears really sturdy. As soon as I opened the amazon box and pulled out the hitch box everything fell out. The packaging torn and didn't secure all the items, so I'm hoping I received everything without anything falling out. That being said, it appears to be really sturdy but would have like some instructions included.I used the video from Amazon to see how to piece everything together. I was slightly confused since the hooks were already assembled / attached but I had a couple of washer type gaskets that were still in it's packaging. Because of this and the lack of instructions, I decided to disassemble the hooks and placed one on each side between the hook and the center hitch connection, hopefully that's where they go.When it came to the locking pin it appeared to be really loose. Again because of no instructions and there were an additional 4 washer / gaskets I placed 3 of them on the opposite side of the lock to try and secure it and make sure it didn't rattle. I first tried on either side and that didn't seem to work because the lock would not slide down enough to be able to lock it. After a lot of back and forth I believe I now have it setup correct and secure. I have a 2021 F150 with tow package and slid right in without issue, Perfect size.
