Moving away from the plastic storage has I somehow don't have matching lids anymore. The glass is easy to clean and stores nicely.

In this set, you will receive 4 glass food containers, each with a glass lid. They completely nestle inside each other, taking up very little space which is awesome.In my opinion, what sets these apart from ordinary glass storage containers is:1. They are made of borosilicate glass, which is highly resistant to quick temperature changes and therefore much less likely to crack or shatter as compared to ordinary glass.2. These containers have silicone edges that seal well and prevent any leaks!3. In addition, these food storage containers have a pressure release valve on the lid that allows the contents to be heated and expand safely.Two issues to be aware of:1. The lids should only be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher when washing.2. When storing/cooking brightly-colored oily foods (like spaghetti sauce), wash the lids immediately as the silicone can absorb and retain stains. Stains do not affect its functionality, but could detract from its visual appeal.I love these containers! The borosilicate glass is exceptionally strong, thick and durable. The lids seal very well, so I don't need to worry about any spills and when food is stored in these, I don't need to worry about microplastucs and chemicals leaching into my food. Finally, these containers can be used/placed in a hot oven, freezer or fridge with no concerns. They truly are one of the best storage containers that I've used and they are worth every penny- give them a try and I believe that you'll enjoy them as much as I do!

I am going to start by saying I am a glass maker, I feel completely qualified to speak to the quality of the craftsmanship and glass of these containers. That being said, I LOVE THESE!!! The glass is extremely thick and free of blisters and seeds (tiny air bubbles), which speaks to the quality of the glass. They're oven safe, which I did not read in the product description, I probably just missed it, because that's something to brag about. The lids are glass as well, they have an added silicone piece to seal to the glass and provide a vent when microwaving the contents. These containers really do have everything you need for food storage. They would work well in the fridge, freezer, oven, and microwave and of course they're dishwasher safe.

These are 4 heavy duty glass and silicone containers of different sizes, but smaller than I expected, so verify the sizes that you need before ordering. They range from 1.6 cups to 6.3 cups. There are no plastic components which is why I ordered these. The lids are made of a thick glass with a wide silicone lip around the edges that have an inner recess to fit inside the top of container. The recess is deep, but doesn't fit super tight, so you would want to be careful to keep these flat when you transport these with food. Not sure how airtight they would be in the freezer, but they would be close. The ones I ordered have two pink and two sage green lids just like the picture so they make for a very attractive set, especially for gifting. The box they come in is attractive too as you can see in the description. What I especially like is that the lids can go right into the microwave with a unique silicone steam valve to release steam while heating. You can close the valve when storing with food. The manufacturer does not recommend that the lids be used during oven baking. These containers have lots of great features. They are made from borosilicate glass which makes them very durable and resistant to the thermal shock of extreme temperature changes thereby reducing the risk of cracking and breaking. They are freezer safe, dishwasher safe, BHA and BFAS free, and come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty, plus their signature steam valve. Benco makes a lot of really neat and practical storage containers for various uses and participate in Feed the Children, so I would be very comfortable ordering from them.
