We've had wonderful experience during use of the cheaper model over the last year and so decided to try the 150 model with charging capacity. It came out of the box bright, even brighter than our well used Luci. It will working into our camping, evening tent reading very well, and will be a fine lantern in a larger area. The strap over the top wasn't durable on the last Luci and broke when hanging it, so watch out for stressing that piece. Otherwise, We think that these are wonderful and particularly right for ultra light backpacking.

Put this flattened light on your dashboard to give it energy from the sun! In an emergency, blow it up, turn it on and you have wide enough lighting to see in your car or where you walk. And its waterproof.

Not only did this item not take a charge, but it was missing a cable and instructuons. I have purchased before these Luci lights, but the product quality seems to be plummeting, regrettably.I am highly disappointed.Returned item with Amazon return label, and nobody can tell me where it isnin transit, and it has been over a week and a half since it was mailed. Amazon has the abikity to track it but will not tell me where it is in transit. How does it take only days to sjip to me but up to 30 days to ship it back if defective while my money is held in limbo, unable to purchase another product elsewhere?Vert disappointed in both Empoelwered and Amazon. Amazon used to refund items even if they did not require them to be shipped back. The rep I spoke with hung up on me rather than tell me the estimated time of arrival back to the distribution center. What has happened to Amazon's former stellar customer service?

With the possibility of energy cuts this winter and on seeing a number of video reviews, my wife and I decided to buy one with the intention or buying a second if the first turned out to be as good as the reviews suggest. We weren't disappointed and ordered a second so that we have one each and can move about our home independently in the event of a blackout.Usage revealed only one shortcoming, i.e. the two pressurebuttons are almost impossible to locate in the dark. The fitting of a sticky backed inexpensive clear soft plastic 10mm dome over each button provided our solution, we can easily locate and press the buttons in the dark now and the icons on each button can be viewed through the clear dome. I use mine as a bedside light and simply recharge it from sunlight through a south facing window or by using mains power via the supplied USB lead.As a footnote: expanding the light is a matter of separating parts of the side wall that have stuck together in compression when packed. A little tedious but better than trying to inflate it by mouth which, in my opinion, is a bad idea because it introduces moisture from breath that will be very difficult to remove. Just a little breath when it is opened and the side wall becomes taut. In spite of this, it's a five-star product.

You’ll often hear people say “I almost died” in reference to a myriad of things. However, when I say I almost died camping in Bighorn National Forest a month ago, I really mean it. I spent a night in sub-zero degree temperature without a tent, and survived. Here’s how the MPOWERD Luci Outdoor 2.0 Pro helped me through:I was trapped in 2 and a half feet of snow, 6000 feet above sea level, in 15 degree weather that was rapidly falling to a low of -5, trying to get back up a large mountain. Exhausted and completely drained of life energy, I was forced to take shelter off the trail. In pitch black darkness, I was able to affix the solar lantern to a tree that was able to alert Search & Rescue to where I was.The first thing that comes to my mind in terms of the value of this lantern is its brightness. At 150 lumens, it’s very bright. As a matter of fact it was so bright that it honestly looked like a streetlight on the mountain trail I was camping off of. The light, being LED, is white mostly and actually here the 4th light setting (the strobe setting) was very helpful.Secondly, the capacity of the lantern is impressive. 5 days into my trip I had been using it every night for at least 2-3 hours a night. Since leaving my house, all I did was put it on the cars dashboard a few times and it was good staying on for 4 hours until I was found by Search & Rescue at 2 in the morning. This being the case, the battery capacity is pretty close to what is advertised.Lastly, I really liked how lightweight and compact this lantern is. A lot of other options out there, that aren’t even solar, are really too bulky and/or too heavy. This lantern fit perfect on the top of my hiking backpack and it was so quick to inflate that it definitely gave me a sense of ease when it got dark out and I needed light. The main thing I didn’t like about this lantern was the material. The plastic used in its construction is soft, and not meant to last. For example, the top handle on my lantern ripped off within a week even though I was pretty careful with it even in an extreme survival situation. In addition, it developed a rip a some point along my trip, which prevents it from inflating all the way now. Not only this, but after leaving it on the dashboard to charge the lanterns plastic outer coating would start to melt. The only other thing I can think of is how the charging is slower than I was hoping for. After leaving it out for hours on the car dashboard, it would gain 2 out of 4 of the cubes. The point is here, don’t expect to leave this thing all night and be able to charge it up for extended use the next day.Overall, I’d say that the MPOWERD Luci Outdoor Pro 2.0 was worth the purchase and I recommend anyone considering it to try it out. In a real emergency situation it helped the relevant authorities find me, sticking through days of use and going through the night in sub-zero degree temperatures. For the low price point, I believe it’s genuinely worth adding to your camping gear.

I have bought 2 of these and I love both of them. I will tell you what you want to know first: after 3 hours wall charging I have had 52 hours of light in the low setting and the light will not dim, when the battery does not have enough power will simply shutdown. I didn't make the test in the high setting or how much time it will charge in the full sun, but 52 hours of decent light puts this Luci Pro Series Solar Light in the top of the best longest-lasting solar lights for the outdoor lovers.

Very impressed with these solar lamps, very bright and simple to inflate, 2 are just perfect for up a 4 man tent, 3 would be ideal for larger tents. Good quality product..

I can’t recommend these strongly enough for hikers/campers. Ditch the heavy propane or battery operated lanterns and you won’t look back with regret. Benefits are numerous1). Weight. These are super light, always a concern when you’re backpacking2). Compact. Also a concern when hiking, but even if you’re car camping. These take up next to no space and are easy to stow just about anywhere. When hiking you just attack it to your pack exterior so it takes up no space inside even as it charges up. Wen driving we just toss them on top of our stuff in back so hte charge through the hatch window3). Lighting. You’ll rarely if ever need to use the highest level. These are bright enough to read by inside the tent, bright enough to light your path to the bathroom. The only time we use the highest level is to brighten up a decently large area around the picnic table as we’re cooking.4). I’ve not timed the run time. All I can say is we’ve never had one dim or run out on us after hours of use at night. Because they charge as we hike or drive, we’ve never run one down5). The only concern for a reduction like this that expands and folds is durability. These are well made and don’t tear or puncture easily. All I can say is we still have first generation ones that we hike with for a month or two every year, folding and expanding every day and night, exposed to all sorts of weather, occasionally scraped on the ground as we put packs down (though we do try to be careful about that) and all are still in use after several years. Though really, for all the benefits, I’d be willing to buy them even if I and to replace them now and then6) no batteries. Better for me in carrying weight, better for the environment7) the USB charge works well in both directions. I consider it a luxury touch and a peace of mind. Nice to know you have the capability to charge up, tough we’ve never felt the need to.Overall just a great product
