Very good so far. Nicely built. Easy to assemble. Beautiful natural wood finish. The top is hollow with a wood veneer. But, it's expertly done and looks like solid wood (but is much lighter...which is an advantage when removing the top if you're petite like my wife). Somewhat pricey, but I think well worth it when you consider the alternatives. I've owned kotatsus that cost less. They had plastic tops and were not as sturdy. Overall, I think it was a good buy.

I have always wanted a kotatsu. There are not many options for kotatsu tables compatible with American voltage (only 2 on Amazon I could find). I took a chance on this one, and I am extremely happy with it. The wood is heavy and great quality. I love that the table height is adjustable. I love the white wood grain color. It was very easy to put together and packaged well, shipped in only a few days. And of course, the heated aspect is to die for. One of the best purchases I've ever made, and my cats love it too. :)

I've been interested in Kotatsu for a while, so when I ran across them on Amazon, I started researching them. Something that could work both in the warmer months and also when it gets colder. I also wanted something that could work with US voltage and plug outlets without needing a power converter as well. I went with the smaller-sized and natural-colored version that was available. It was surprisingly easy to assemble and set up. It actually took a little longer to get accustomed to it than putting it together. The heater is nice with a dial to adjust the heating element. I also highly recommend anybody consider getting a kotatsu, to not forget or cheap out on the kotatsu blanket for the table.I tested it out after I assembled it, to make sure everything was set up and working properly. Then I tried it out again when it got cold and rainy with a Kotatsu blanket on. It was very comfortable and could see why it's so popular overseas. The smaller size (29" D x 29" W x 14.2" H) is big enough for a person to set up a decent workspace to work on individually or a couple of people and a few cats to lounge around and under without much issue.

I had several issues with the ordering of the table because I ordered through the seller "pallete life" and unfortunately several of their tables colors must be labeled incorrectly. I ordered the natural color and two times in a row they sent white on the second one we noticed that the sorting barcode says natural but the manufacturer's box says white so they must have been mislabeled.Thankfully I've been able to return both of those and ordered through The seller BJ designs and they sent me the correct color. The table is quite a bit better than the previous kotatsu I had and I managed to get it on the limited time deal for less than $300. Seems to be made of real wood The top is wood and then has a veneer of a different kind of wood. the heater has a built-in fan to help circulate the heat. it was very easy to put together. One thing I miss is that the table top does not have anything to anchor it down to the main part of the table. It just sits on top with some rubbery pieces to try to stop it from moving. hopefully I can remedy that soon. For those debating on the natural color version of table, it is more brown and less gray than the picture shows. And for those curious about the white color tables they are more like a whitewashed wood than a pure white, You can still see the wood grain and its a little bit of a creamy color.
