I was trying to find a snowboard rack that I could attach to my tow hitch. I did not want to have to deal with Putting stuff on top of the car. This rack worked out perfect. It secures everything very easily and is a quick on and off to install. The only Negative I encountered is that you have to be careful about any big dips you hit When you have skis and snowboards in the rack. I suggest moving each of the racks up one notch to give more height to the gear. I think The gear actually hit the ground a little bit when I was coming off of a steep driveway.Customer service has been great. I had an issue with my 1st rack and they sent me a brand new one. I would highly recommend this rack.

Pros: mostly sturdy build material, fits completely in a 2.5" receiver, clever hitch lock design, tilt feature is well built.Cons: locking mechanisms are poorly built, manufacturing quality control is inconsistent.Purchased and received first rack. Packing was poor - part edges broke through the box in several sections, many scratches, and one reflective sticker partially torn off. Hitch lock was very difficult to lock/unlock (I figured I'd apply some WD-40 but didn't get the chance). Main complaint was that there was a large piece of something that sounds like metal sliding back and forth inside one of the ski clamp sections. Concerned this unknown piece might affect structural integrity, I emailed the manufacturer. I was initially offered a $5 refund to purchase a new sticker and was instructed to drill a hole in the clamp section to get the metal piece out. I explained that I wasn't going to drill a hole in what should have been a fully functional, new ski rack that is intended for use outdoors is a wet environment. The manufacturer sent me a new rack. The new rack arrived with the same type of box damage. The rack was either previously used briefly (hitch had deep scratches) or heavily scratched during shipping. Main complaint is that the ski clamp lock would not lock - it just pulled open while locked. The oval-shaped metal locking tab inside the locking arm appeared to be bent. I bent it back to a flat shape, locked it then attempted to pull it open by hand. With little effort, the locked arm opened up. The locking tab was easily bent again by the effort.I haven't yet been able to use it, and while I'm not concerned my skis will fall out of the rack, I wouldn't trust them unattended for very long. I did appreciate the manufacturer's attempts to fix the situation but I think manufacturing quality needs a bit of improvement.

Pros: Easy install. Love how it swings down. Appears secure. Fits skis and snowboards.Cons: This all is based on ONE USE. The lower key that locks in the hit h was nearly impossible to lock. I don’t know if I’ll get it off.Upper bracket came damaged and the latch wouldn’t catch as a result (see photo). As a result the upper bracket now won’t unlock. We have to slide skis in from open lower bracket.Lower bracket has issues too as well. The left side pre-latch doesn’t align. I had trouble getting it to lock. I finally got it locked and it wouldn’t unlock.Since at this point the upper and lower brackets were both stuck locked I was worried all our gear was inaccessible for our trip. Luckily I was able to get the lower one to unlock again.Disappointing. The level of issues with the first use speaks to the lack of quality.Sadly returning.Couldn’t figure out how to contact the seller. Would try a replacement to see if it was just a defect on the one we got.

Edit-Edit:First Ski trip use now completed using the BougeRV Tow Hitch. This thing is quite good and securely held 4 pairs of skis and poles. Ski lengths were 179cm down to 142cm. Car was a Hyundai Kona.Rack tilt worksLocking knob crank for Receiver pins workedTightening in ski clampsLocking bracketsAll seemed to have worked quite well.I did Velcro wrap a thick ziplock bag on the crank to keep moisture out of the pin crank lockI also put nylon Velcro bags around bottom of skis to keep road gunk off of them whilst traveling.I probably should put a receiver tube clamp/tightener Will get one and experiment.I also used small tie downs between the metal loop on the vertical bar and tow hitch. Having never used this before I felt it was prudentThis too was a non issueVery satisfied.Edit: BougeRV has followed up as promised with a replacement ski rack that assembles and mounts well on the car. The customer service, follow up and delivery of a working unit shows their commitment to quality. This rack was easy to assemble, feels sturdy and is snug in the hitch receiver. Come on snow. Ready to go. Thanks BougeRV 5 StarsOriginal review:So despite the box arriving a bit banged up as well as the contents inside. Broken Tie wraps securing all the parts together, at assembly I identified all parts were there and no obvious issues. The tow hitch piece and part b vertical assemble bolted together with no issues. Lower portion of actual ski mount bolted on snugly. Part D however has a plate with holes on either side to mount to B with a through bolt and cotter like pinDue to the 2 plates not being even on part d the actual bolt/cotter pin do not and cannot go all the way through. I either need a part D that actually has the plates that are evenly positioned or I will have to find slightly smaller through bolts. Looking for vendor/seller input before I try to figure out how to return this beast. Quality control issues. While I have angle grinder and welder I don’t intend to adjust this. I could bore out the hole a bit more. Thinking through optionsBtw@amazon. The email notice with link requires me to read the vendors email via yweb page. I use your app and cannot find the messages through the app. Kind of suboptimal
