Just like the popular BD-16 dreadnaught guitar, the BM-16 has all the right features that one would expect from more expensive instruments, but all in a smaller body-sized guitar that not only looks amazing, but sounds incredible too!

Really impressive sound for the price you are paying. The hardware is decent too and it holds its tune quite well. I highly recommend it!

My parents bought me this guitar for Christmas. I thought really hard about whether I wanted them to buy the BD-16 or the BM-16. I chose this one because I basically wanted a small guitar that wouldn't sound too loud. Looking back, I should've taken the style of guitar I'd be playing more into account as I like to strum. The BM-16 does seem to be more suited for finger-picking, classical, and folk styles. After about five months, I've been really disappointed in how it sounds when strumming a lot of chords. I realized it's not me, it's the guitar. There's something wrong with the high E string. It's been making a tinny, ringing sound (that's probably not fret buzz) coming from near the bridge whenever I hold a fret down and strum. It doesn't go away. Maybe it's just my guitar, but I regret I didn't choose a dreadnought or an acoustic-electric guitar. Strumming on this guitar just doesn't cut it. Either the guitar hates picks, the high e string has a problem with being strummed, or it's the action, but something is definitely wrong...I mean this is what I'd expect from a Walmart guitar. That's how pissed I am. If I were to sell it on Amazon I'd charge only $50 for it. The fact that the high E string makes an annoying metallic, ringing sound is a serious deal breaker. THE only reason I'm not giving this guitar 1 star is because I'm assuming it's MY guitar that has the problem, so... buy at your own risk or at least buy from a WELL-KNOWN guitar store/company. Better yet before buying a guitar online see if you can play a few guitars at a store first. That way you'll know whether the guitar is a keeper or not. For me, this one isn't.

I really got this guitar to leave at work. But it sounds and plays better than the Seagull folk I have at home. I will be leaving the Seagull at work I guess.I am very pleased with the sound , and the feel of the instrument, 000 size seems perfect. When money permits, Im going to buy a Blueridge solid wood version of this style. But I will still keep this all laminate.anybody who says these are crap is nuts!

I bought this guitar for my ten year old grand-daughter and was highly impressed with the quality of woods and construction of the guitar. Intonation is good and the tuners seem to work well. The neck is straight and easy to play, and it sounds much better than comparably priced guitars. Shipping was prompt and went without a hitch, too. Hope she enjoys playing it!

In my 40+ years of playing I have bought and played a whole lot of cheaper guitars. I have also owned many expensive guitars, including Gibson and my current Martin and Taylor. So, it is with some experience that I tell you; You can try every $200 guitar on earth and none will even come close to the sound and playability of this Bristol guitar. Normally I would NEVER recommend buying a guitar online without being able to play it in person. However, there doesn't appear to be many guitar shops around that carry this brand and I can't say as I blame them. Seeing as how it would definitely put a huge dent in their more expensive guitar sales. Sure, there are a couple of brands with a solid spruce top for about the same price you'll pay for this laminate topped Bristol and if your primary interest is having a solid wood top, then I say go for it. But, if it's sound, power of projection and playability you're looking for, the Bristol is by far the best guitar for your money.

The sound of the Blue Ridge Mountains.... made in China? Bah. If you want the sound of the Blue Ridge Mountains go spend a few extra bucks and get a Martin guitar.

I ordered on of these and a BD-16 for my son and my nephew after being amazed by the Blueridge BR-163 I recvd last month from Amazon. We were all blown away by these "cheap" guitars. We took both into the local music store and put them up against the Taylor and Martin guitars they had hanging on the wall and we all came to the conclusion that they stack up well against guitars costing 10 times as much. Everything from complex tones to intonation and action all the way up and down the neck. Put some Elixr strings on them and don't look back!!!!

I just bought one of these from someone else, and I am amazed at how good this guitar sounds and plays for this price. As the other review says, it plays and sounds as good as guitars costing much much more. Fit and finish are very nice as well. The sealed geared tuners are nice and smooth, and it tuned right up and stayed tuned. Attractive wood, nice binding, excellent finish. The 000 body size is a bit smaller than a dreadnaught, which makes it easier for smaller people to play, and the neck is comfortable and slim. The frets are finished nicely with no sharp ends. This guitar will please both beginners and experienced players who don't want to spend thousands of dollars. You could perform with this and save up to buy that beautiful Martin someday! What more can I say? Buy one! Pretty darn good for an inexpensive guitar!
